If Downie is healthy I think the team is better with him. Mac is a good signing, money is a little high, but that is just a sign of the times.

So what is the word on Mason, head, knee or no one knows.

Would you trade for an RFA forward who may or may not be difficult to work with and get signed, or a forward with the same talent level and a contract?

UFA's get less before July 1st in trades. RFA's obviously get more because the team has a ton of leverage.

He really hasn't been effective since the original concussion.
Makes you wonder if he was trying to push things and play before he was 100%.

He was. And we got Simmonds AND Schenn. I feel like we got something else too...

The whole value thing is tough because there is no numerical value associated with each player. It's more just opinions of what a player is worth but when it comes down to it, the player is only worth what you can get for him.

If Emery starts all is not lost. He can steal a game, just look to the Hawks vs Calgary game last year where he stood on his head. His only problem is side to side movement so the D has to help with wrap arounds.

So is Ghost available to play for the Flyers in the playoffs if god forbid someone goes down?

i keep looking for ANY news but cannot find anything except he participated in practice today....he left early but it was reported by bill that it seemed like that was the plan....if he has a serious inju, i doubt they let him finish the second period and i don't think he would be on the ice today......but until the puck drops thursday we won't know for sure
