The only players slower than emery are our defenseman
- PhillySportsGuy

Our team D isn't fast, but it's not that slow either, unless we have both Gill and Gmann in the lineup.

He's not going to play. They have Gus gill and probably lauridson ahead of him
- PhillySportsGuy

Is he even eligible to play?
I thought someone said he had to be in the system by a certain date to be eligible.

No, he's not. Flyers didn't have Ghost on their reserve list. The Rangers had Kreider in 2012.

Reading the comments on TSN from the Andy MacDonald signing.

Majority consensus is that it's way too much money and how does Holmgren still have a job.

Do people not realize he was UFA and that it's 2014 not 2009?

People will only remember JVR for Schenn and the Bryz deal.

All other deals involving Homer are insignificant.

Gostisbehere said he hopes to play in low-to-mid 180s. Currently in mid-170s.

Yeah. Also Pronger getting hurt is Holmgren's fault, you know because of that ridiculous contract.

According to parent the flyers did have ghost on the reserve list at TDL

Not that it means that he would play for them in playoffs and not sure if that would burn a year of his ELC if he did

I'm still not sure trading Richards and Carter was a great deal for you guys. Loaded you up with young talent and prospects, but the Kings won the Cup with those 2 guys being main contributors and you made the SCF with those 2 guys. I guess we have to wait and see if the core youth those deals got you end up taking you to the promise land within the next 5-10 years.

If Mac helps who cares what other people say. Bottom line only time will tell if they Mac deal was good or not. All I can say is that the D looked better after he got here. Was it him or was it that the team started to play Chief's system.

he's a midwesterner. Most of us are nice. Not me. but I've been tarnished by all this east coast living.
- bodiva88

You know, after moving to Florida I've learned that northeners aren't all that bad. When I hold a door open for someone down here, most of the time I don't get a thank you or even a nod of appreciation. When I visit the NE, I get thank you's all the time.

I refuse to give up on chivalry.

They were complimentary players on that Kings team. Simmonds and Voracek are as good as Richards and Carter right now. When you add in Couts, Schenn, Grossmann and Cousins it becomes very lopsided.

If the Kings didn't win the cup, this trade would be viewed extremely favorably from a Flyers standpoint.
