Whew, where to start?
On Mason: I think they are just being cautious. I have no doubt he is starting game one.
On Grossmann: Like Timonen, the dude is a warrior. He'll have to lose a limb before he misses a playoff game.
On Ghost: You can come down off the bridge now folks!
On MacDonald: Totally cool with it, you weren't going to find anyone better at a better price on the open market. And you would have been forced to significantly overpay in a trade for a similar or better dman.
On Downie: I'd kinda be surprised if you see him play another game in a Flyers uniform.
And finally, on the playoffs:

Except the Bruins are a beast of a team and have much better players to surround Krug. - PhillySportsGuy
I don't think he's ready to make jump from college to NHL playoff hockey. But hey, if it comes to that, I'd be excited, to say the least. |

Yes they were but sometimes you have to do something a little off the book. But if I had to choose gus or ghost i might choose ghost. i know what gus brings. Ghost is a little wildcard - J35Bacher
I would choose Gus as he has experience and I know what I'd be getting with him.
Lets let Ghost develop instead of just throwing him into the fire. |

it is starting to look that way
I'm sad, he did energize that 3rd line before he got hurt, I thought there was a future for him here.

Exactly. You know what Gus can do which really isn't too much of a difference to what Ghost can bring. Sometimes when people get thrown in the fire they rise to the occasion. I know ghost is not huge but its also not like he is an 18 year old. He is 20 so might not be so nervous even though it is a difference between college and nhl. |

How do you know this?
I just think it would be wise to take it slow with Ghost. He's not ready to handle the heavy forecheck of the Rangers. The Flyers experienced players have trouble moving the puck against this team. I don't want to see Ghost out there in the playoffs. |

And how would you know this? Everything is a question mark. I am not saying start him from game one. I am saying that if I am having to decide between Ghost and Gus I might actually prefer Ghost. You can't tell me Ghost is not a better skater and has a better cannon then Gus. Right there are two things better then Gus. |

Solid stuff Big E.
I agree with everything except MacDonald. That being said, I'm so elated over the Ghost signing, that I'm leaving the MacDonald signing alone. |
