Bennets a great foward. Can't see u guys taking ekblaud and Florida is not gonna waste #1 overall on a dman. Draisaitl has something u can't teach and that is size. Bennett could end up being the best player this draft but buffalo can't afford to miss this year. Just my opinion.

Wait if you didn't beat the Canucks wouldn't you have been in Floridas spot and picking number 1. Almost better now to be at 3 and have the hand dealt to you.

Awesome. I hope he's excited to play in Edmonton because that's where he's going. Neither FLA nor BUF can afford to screw this up. They're in weak markets and scoring is what they need. 1-2 is Reinheart or Bennet and the Oil will take Ekblad 3rd.

The main reason I think Florida or Buffalo won't pass up on Ekblad is that not only will they have a true right handed D-man who can play in every situation....but also by doing so, can avoid improving just enough to miss out on McDavid next year, but remaining at the bottom of the standings. There is no real "franchise" player in this draft, so bulk up on the blue line and let the McDavid fiasco begin.

Also, I think Nick Ritchie would be the greatest kind of player to add to the Oilers line up...the guys is just a tank and you can even trade down a few spots to pick him up.

I'd say Florida won't pass on Ekblad because he's kinda the consensus no.1 and they already have three young Cs but then again I thought Seth Jones was destined for COL so who knows.

Draisaitl and Dal Colle are both big too with more skill. I don't want to end up with Ritchie, not when we have a chance to get a better player.

I just don't see it just my opinion,if the Oil do take him I hope I'm wrong or it will be a super bust,I hope the Oil do have a chance tho of Reinhart or Ekblad,I know Bennett can be a almost a safe choice but the Oil are full of small players,and Between Dal Colle and Ritchie I would go with Ritchie.

I think people are way too early with cementing the rankings right now. The juniors playoffs are still raging, the combine and interview sessions are coming up and more importantly the U18 tournament where the older players that are generally ranked higher begin to slip simply by not playing and the younger guys bringing impressive performances.
