well, other than the normal bash-everything people.

a few weeks ago I was 100% in favor of resigning kimmo if he wanted to play another year

rethinking this now, maybe best to move on

He's lost a step and had a bad game last night, but Kimmo is still a top 4 dman in the NHL. I'd say he's a solid #3 and, unlike many of our defenseman, doesn't need the perfect partner to be effective.

He'll match asking price of 4.5-5M. I'm still not sure he goes in that direction. I really don't know what his plan is for this offseason.

My ideal offseason would be:

Move Vinny
Sign Jagr

Move Grossmann or Schenn
Sign Stralman

Try and convince Kimmo to come back and hope he takes less money. Maybe he comes back a couple weeks into the season and the Flyers give Morin the 9 game tryout.

Id like to see Jags back in the Orange and Black. Hopefully he will be hype to hit the ice this year after missing out with the Devils... still baffles me as to why he wanted to play for them in the first place. Leading scorer though, so I guess thats an advantage.

No one said he's Weber, but he's very solid, not spectacular, but very steady.

much of the argument comes from people who view him as getting a lot of money for being a bottom pair guy

which with I disagree

he may not be a first pair guy but he can be effective playing on a 2nd pair, 20-22 minutes a game

5M per is a lot but that is the price if you don't develop your own guys and have to rely on UFA
