That's a (big) part of it, sure. I wasn't specifically calling out the defensemen, but the entire team.

It would help if there was even one guy who could just skate the puck out of danger on a regular basis, but that issue can't be solved before the summer.

yep. i still think that one player added to this team would make a HUGE difference. you guys can absorb the loss of a brayden schenn or whatnot if it meant getting someone of that ilk.

I saw at least 3 occasions where the Flyers were breaking out and a failed or block pass at the last second near the blue line created a turnover and the forwards were already skating towards the Rangers end.

Need better support.

I assume that could be Gost-is-(gonna)-be-here. But if he plays on the 2nd pairing, thats still only 20 mins a game probably.

How on earth was the crosscheck on Giroux not called? If we get a pp and score that could have changed the entire complexion of game.

hopefully gostisbehere can provide this much needed element in the very near future. i don't want to rush him, but man i'd love to see what could do right out of the gate. watching our d struggle to cleanly get the puck off the wall and just go (frank)ing forward with it in one quick accurate pass is so (frank)ing frustrating. the keystone cops routine with the bouncing pucks being blocked at the blueline etc is so gddman old.

what's frustrating is that the game plays out the same way against the rangers in msg over and over and over again. they're capable of playing so much better, but they turn into a poopty team being dictated to and never find a way to turn the table. disappointing to see giroux so invisible.

series obviously far from over, but they're already behind the 8 ball. winning game 2 is supremely important if they want to have a real chance to win this series. obviously.

I think it's pretty obvious why Vinny got so little time... Aside from just the regular answer of lots of PK time for the Flyers that last period.

He's slow as dirt, probably not a great matchup against the Rags.
