Sounds like we got them right where we want them

All kidding aside, a win for the Flyers tomorrow throws all the pressure onto the Rags.

So he took a penalty. It wasn't undisciplined. It had more to do with bad luck.

Last night, Corey Perry speared Jamie Benn in the nuts. The refs gave him 2 minutes and the Stars scored on the PP. It could have easily been 5 minutes and a misconduct.

No one is calling for Perry's head. In fact, Perry went on to score the go ahead goal in their win.

Let's let Akeson rebound from this and see what he does.

Like I said earlier to someone else, the damage is already done. No point in benching the kid after all that. Give him a shot at retribution.

Good news is, he didn't miss a shift after the dbl-minor, so hopefully that means Berube realizes the kid is playing well and isn't going to banish him to Chateau Dog.

I got nervous because I heard Panaccio talking about how VDV was called up and there may be changes in the lineup. It could have just been him stirring the pot as usual.

Sorry, the kid went for a hit, and got his stick up. Poop happens. At least he was trying to do something. It's not like he took a run at someone or did something stupid intentionally.

Sorry, but the way they were playing at that point in the game, they were going to lose, it was just a matter of time.

I agree with you. But he put himself in that position.

It was more than bad luck. It was a rookie trying to do too much.

Giroux needs a big game tommorow, period.

Greenberg was a treat. Insightful, funny and thoughtful, one of the best hockey writers ever. His book "The Complete History of the Philadelphia Flyers" is a must read for any Flyers fan.

Maybe they're gonna bench VL.

Might as well if you aren't going to use him or let him find his game etc.

If Brayden Schenn develops into a really good player, I think you should be banned for 2 years.

No worries, he won't.

0% chance of being really good.
50% chance of being good
25% chance of being average 3rd liner
20% chance of being a 4th liner
5% of being a complete bust and not playing in the NHL

The flyers need to stop trying to generate all their shots from the blueline, they are not getting to the net. They need to get the NY "D" moving east to west to create lanes to get the puck to the net. Can't score if you can't get the puck to the net.

I suggested the other day that the Flyers need to forget about the pretty goals against the Rangers. You won't get many of them. You beat the Rangers with ugly goals. You throw the puck on net from weird angles if you have to and beat any loose pucks through the queen.

He's had all year to "find his game" and was completely ineffective in game one. I like Vinny, but he played poorly.

So if you took every center in the NHL and put them in a bowl. He would better than half and worse than half? Wouldn't that make him a #2/3 Center?

Average 3rd liner with some potential to be something more.

That's me trying to be as objective as I possibly can about him. Given my bias etc.

Take into consideration he's had to bounce back & forth from wing to center to accommodate VL.
