In fairness, the Hawks are not even in the game if he didn't bail them out for the first half of the game.
He definitely needs to have the short-side tying goal, the one from the first game to tie it and of course the winner - reeder16
He finished with a .871 save percentage. So what should it have been, like .700? No one here wants to talk about Miller bailing out the Blues last game, and the Hawks had way more quality chances than the Blues had this game. |

Hawks played like asshats today. It is eerily similar to the Pens vs Bruins series. Hawks wanted to send a physical message to the Blues but that isnt the Hawks game. - faustus1500
The Hawks played how they had to play. They took the hits when they were open rather than the pens hitting just because.
It's how the hawks overcame hurdles last year. Same poop, unfortunate calls this year. |

I wish Q would leave Zus on the 4th line and as a pk specialist. He excels at those. |

And why? Again, a shift in strategy from pressuring point men to collapsing into the box, which does nothing but create more screens and more pinball bumpers to redirect the puck.
At some point guys, Q has to be held accountable for over thinking things. - Return of the Roar
He needs to held accountable for a lot of things. He better get this straightened out or the hourglass on his magical tenure will tick for real.

He played a solid game overall...huge save on Ott to keep it close early....the equalizer was weak, but he was screened.
Too many point shots getting through. - philco28
Phil, please don't defend him unless you defend every other Hawk skater.
He should have stopped three important late goals - he didn't - just as bad as Handzus blow-out, Hossa missed blocks, Hjalmarsson bad passes - forwards unable to score more than one goal in 8 + periods of hockey.

Again Phil, put him on 4th line and let him kill penalties all day if that makes you happy. He is a 2C on the team. Has any hawk fan, so blinded by their insistence to oppose anything I say, stopped and thought, "Hey, what would an extra goal every other game mean to the teams record?"
That is what 2C's do. Whether a goal or an assist. Meanwhile, we have the biggest epic roster failure in years here and we don't even wonder what the opportunity cost is for the decision. - TrueGrit
There's not a PPG second line center in the league. |

Don't care about Miller - he's not the Hawks' goalie - Crawford is. |

Yeah and if you watch the continuation of the play, another Blews player throws an elbow into Toewes face - kissthecup22
You named two and the reaves hit was clean. Read back a few pages as you butthawk fans also agreed. What about when bolling is grinding otts face in the ice the first game? The hawks have been the dirty team in this series that's all their is too it. You cannot stick up for that issue and justify it with two plays and one of them was not anything. Do some more research we will be drinking up 2-0 |

Every other game means 82/2 40 points per season. |

No one is talking about this, either...
I promise you that the Blues will 100% attempt in Monday's game to enact both the Bickell and Seabrook hit. Toews/Kane/Hossa etc. best have their heads on a swivel throughout the rest of this series.
Just f-ing stupid both Bickell and Seabrook. Moronic/idiotic/undisciplined/not like the Hawks... color whatever words together you wish. |

Stl...you have to give Crow credit for battling back. That save on Ott was outstanding. He was clumsy, he was erratic, but Crow played well.
And looks like we're stuck with him for 6 more years.

He was the only Hawk to show up until the 10 min mark of the second. The Hawks in no way deserved to be in the position to come back without him. Moot point anyways. He needs to make the saves to close out the game |

I'm not to rip the refs....but today was pure BS!!!!!
seabrook deserved a double minor for charging, but where is the penalty to Steen for going after Seabrook? How does he NOT get at least a roughing call?
2 bad BS soft goals allowed by Crawford. Out of position on goal 1 against a 4th line player.....The OT goal was a god damn joke. that's Barrett Jackman. Not some top tier guy with a cannon. He had the bottom taken away and it gets through.
The tying goal is questionable as well, as Corey cheated and allowed a soft short side goal.
F-ck this team. F-ck the 1st Blues guy who cries about Seabrook. Backes got what he's deserved since breaking into the NHL, and milked it for all he could, yet miraculously could walk fine down the tunnel. @ss clown,
If I';m Q I call out my star forwards. Where the hell is Patrick Sharp? 1 goal from forwards the whole series, and that was a cherry picking, stretch pass, goal by Kane.
OH, and great coverage by the beat guys Kuc and turkey neck Myers.
Series is over....You may win 1 of 2 at home, but you're not winning 4 of 6. I'm sure Seabrook will be suspended 2 games, and Backes will be back by game 4. Hitchcock may keep him out to milk the system.
God damnit....I hate losing to those clowns. |

This is interesting. And could very well be the reason why we saw Seabrook with that hit - retribution on a non-called penalty.

We're doing exactly what the Blows want...the cheap crap after the whistle and how many penalties today? Which intensified into Seabrook's hit. A dumb penalty that cost us the game. He'll miss at least a couple of games...
If we had any kind of power play in this game and the Hawks win. But special teams have killed this team this season. |

Isn't the goalie suppose to be the last line of defense? In case there are breakdowns in defensive play??......are any goals ever his fault??? |

My only thought about Morin is that if he makes one mistake out there, Q is going to bench him for the rest of the game anyway and be down a forward. So maybe thats why zus and versteeg are out there.
I wish it was Regin and Morin though |

If I were betting id say this series is over. Just too impossible to come back from back -to-back heart breaking losses like this...just wasn't meant to be this year. Despite whatever you wanna look at I really feel like this year is a lost cause given the Magnitude of these losses. really sucks....id beAMAZED if they recovered.... - SimpleJack
I feel the same way. One nightmarish disheartening loss, OK. Two in a row? Nope, not coming back. This team doesn't have the chemistry or feel of a Cup winner, and hasn't all year. The mythical "2nd gear" doesn't really exist, not this year. |
