Stl...you have to give Crow credit for battling back. That save on Ott was outstanding. He was clumsy, he was erratic, but Crow played well.
And looks like we're stuck with him for 6 more years. - philco28
Yes - he's ours, and IF THE REST OF THE TEAM WAS PLAYING WELL, HE'D BE FINE.
But they aren't - and Crawford's mistakes were game killers - should have had each of them.
I give Crawford lots of credit all of the time, but when he doesn't make a save able save with 1:45 left - or 8 seconds left - I can't excuse it by saying, well, he made a great save on Ott. |

My only thought about Morin is that if he makes one mistake out there, Q is going to bench him for the rest of the game anyway and be down a forward. So maybe thats why zus and versteeg are out there.
I wish it was Regin and Morin though - biegs
Exactly, Q laid out this script in December. Let it play out.
I am sure Toews is calling a players only meeting to make sure they try to talk Zus into coming back. I am sure Kane will lobby to have him around another year. |

Isn't the goalie suppose to be the last line of defense? In case there are breakdowns in defensive play??......are any goals ever his fault??? - UnnamedSource
Objectively though, far too often he is the only line of defense. I don't think it is fair to absolve him of all goals, but when you see the team play, the forechecking is non-existent, the D can't clear the zone, and the strategy employed by Q in the D zone surrenders the top half of the ice in favor of more obstructions to sight lines.
This is a bad set of line combinations and a bad defensive zone scheme. That's on the stache.... |

John Jaeckel: Game 2 Preview: How The Hawks Can Win - John Jaeckel
1 win in overtime in 17 games this season.
barley .500 hockey since January.
2 major collapse in the final seconds of the first 2 games of the playoffs.
a goalie that can't win his team a game in ot.
i never like Crawford, theres no doubt he makes some big saves but almost never when it counts. not completely blaming this game on him but he should have saved at least 1 of the 2 game deciding goals.
almost 20 mins. in penalties today and you can't expect to win a hockey game. |

You named two and the reaves hit was clean. Read back a few pages as you butthawk fans also agreed. What about when bolling is grinding otts face in the ice the first game? The hawks have been the dirty team in this series that's all their is too it. You cannot stick up for that issue and justify it with two plays and one of them was not anything. Do some more research we will be drinking up 2-0 - truthBtold
First of all it is Bollig, he is a St. Charles Native. As in St. Charles, MO, you know that town bordering St. Louis. He grew up watching the Blues. I wonder where he learned how to play? The Blues are a dirty team. The Hawks tried to play the Blues game and it backfired. |

Welcome back - stick around.
A complete team loss - INCLUDING the guy in net.
And what's worse - STUPID hockey - shouldn't get that from this experienced team. - StLBravesFan
We agree!!! As bad as they played they had great chances to win both. |

Trust me Stl....i feel the same outrage and 50 and co. Just trying to keep things in perspective. He lets in a lot of suspect goals. A LOT.

You very well could be right but a goalie cannot do what CC did...two games in a row. He's had moments of greatness during both games but he's also had moments of suck as well..... |

No..this is hard for you...concentrate...you can do it...we are all pulling for you...
What would a 2C scoring 40 points a year. A point every other game....mean to the teams record?
Wondering, if say either Thursday or today, Zus managed to be on the ice for a positive 5 on 5 goal, if that might have made a difference in one of the games?
If you scatter 5 goals over 10 games, do you maybe win more? I am sure you will need to study further. Take your time.... lay out some jelly beans and count if it helps....

time for Bowman to crawl from beneath his desk and earn his g-damn pay check.
Come out publically state that the Seabrook hit was wrong, apologixe, but question why Steen wasn't sent off? How is that OK to grab a guy and basically fight and not be sent off for at least a roughing call?
But he wont'....he's too busy liking his team...... |

I feel the same way. One nightmarish disheartening loss, OK. Two in a row? Nope, not coming back. This team doesn't have the chemistry or feel of a Cup winner, and hasn't all year. The mythical "2nd gear" doesn't really exist, not this year. - Tugboat
Well, let's see.
Now is the time for Q to make on ice adjustments so that they play Chicago hockey, not St. Louis hockey.
Now is the time for Toews to be the leader everyone says he is.
Time for all of these all-star scorers to do what is necessary - score.
Time for everyone to stop making stupid plays - 9 penalties today, most of them unnecessary and dumb.
Let's see how much championship character this team had. |

Since, you are printing this thread out. I just wanted to add this historic note. The Blues would not exist if it wasn't for the Wirtz family and the Blackhawks. You see the Wirtz family owned this derelict building known as the St. Louis Arena and they wanted to get rid of it. So they pushed for St. Louis to get a hockey team despite Baltimore being the frontrunner. |

Zus did make a few nice plays and was not by far our worst player on the ice. But he needs to be on the forth line at least. You cant fault the guy for going out there and competing but Q has to realize his limitations. |

Hitchcock will milk the system and say he's out for game 3...They're up 2-0. No rush to play him. Hawks win Monday, I'd be SHOCKED if that twat isn't back in the lineup Wednesday night.
He walked perfectly ok to the locker-room. He's fine. I did like toews giving him verbal jabs as he did his best Apollo Creed and stumbled.
Again, the point is where...was.....the....penalty....to.....steen?!!!!? |
