Well to be fair…..Hankthetank has been trolling these boards since atlanta HAD a team…..
Boy, nothing like a playoff loss to bring out all the outraged and stupid.
The only thing disappointing, other than two losses, was that the Hawks sunk to the Blues level when they didn't need to. In fact, they got back into the game buy just out skating them and out working them. Then Seabrook goes to the zoo……..
Before we go down every single tired alley of complaint- 2C, goalie, the size of Stan's nuts or Q's brain, know that even with a suspended Seabrook- and he will be suspended- the Hawks can easily win the next two games. Heck, they almost won these two games and they didn't even play well….
It's not a true series until the home team loses. - yahoodi
This for sure.
Let's see what these guys - this year (we know they've been tough, rebounding, character guys in the past) - have in the reserve tank.
Dig deep, boys - if there's anything left this year.
(And - for all the reasons we've discussed - short off-season, Olympics, etc.- they may not).

I don't understand how Ogi can be suspended for posting (supposedly) bad on other boards, but these douchenozzles (was that the word?) can come here and be total idiots. - StLBravesFan
Pretty sure he gets suspended for what he says, not where he says it. |

How old is that? Irrelevant. How did the canucks do this year? You guys are about as close to winning the cup as the thrashers are |

What does Backes have to do with Lap? And thus far I'd say Lappy has played pretty clean. IMO he's more of a scheiss disturber than a dirt player. I wasn't a fan of the signing when we got him so. - Simon_says17
Misunderstood the original post, thought there was a comment about Hawks players b******g, seems like whenever the camera pans over to LaPierre, he's pulling a Lebron. |

Deflecting is an effective strategy to try hide from logic and facts. I used to do the same thing when I was 8 years old too. |

That's a good solution. Call anyone a troll who thinks it was a dirty hit!
Why try use logic when you could just label people who don't agree with you as trolls?
It was the exact same hit as the one Torres laid on Seabrook. You remember that one, it was the one where all you guys were calling for Torres to be banned for life as a result. - hankthetank
It was perhaps similar to the hit Torres the Nuck laid on Seabrook in '11, but nothing like the attack on Hossa a year later. Besides, Torres already had a long track record as a thug by that time... But Seabs lost it, no doubt about it. It was a bad hit, a terrible & stupid decision, probably cost the game and will result in other bad consequences as well. No Hawks fan can or should deny that... |

Why is it a tired alley of complaint to wonder why they aren't playing well? I submit it's the gameplan.
And almost does not count. It's a sixty minute (or more) game.
While very much a rabid fan, there is not one thing happening on their side of the play that gives me much hope. |

Finally saw the reverse angle replay again, it's clear as day Seabs shoulder made direct contact with Backes head. Seabs has never been a head hunter and I don't think he was here, but this was a pretty bad hit. He'll get at least a game, maybe two.
Between this and Bickell's hit and the 9 penalties, they just don't seem to have any focus so far. That being said, as poorly as they've played, the Hawks have had the lead late in both games. The Blues don't have a chance if the Hawks get their poope together. |

Personel decisions like Morin and Regin out and Zus and Versteeg or Bollig in are on Q. Maybe a scout or two and Scotty have a little bit of impact...a suggestion or two but Q makes the final decision. I'm disappointed he didn't keep the 3rd line together....they had chemistry, something that line failed to have all year....and why Kane and Toews are not on the top line with Bickel is beyond me....nevertheless...
It's not the game plan in my opinion....it's the effort, the guts. Very little net presence, turnovers, bad penalties.....
...and CC needs to be better with two minutes left....like I said before...two games in a row..can't happen even if the players in front of him fail to do their jobs. |

I doubt Backes was milking that hit.....he was motionless for about ten seconds...and then couldn't stand up straight... - UnnamedSource
Exactly. Milk the system? Please. He got up after being knocked out and had to be held up against the boards by the trainer. Was stumbling, not there at all.
That was bad. At least Ogi got his wish. |

Can someone explain how Steen gets away with tossing his gloves and ripping away and he does not get at least 2 minutes?
Not that I have or will understand how refs call games. |
|
|
|
Here's another fact...
When the Hawks actually have played their game, they've clearly been the better team so far in these first two games.
Can they win 4 of 5? Without a doubt absolutely. Don't forget that kids.
Dinner/drink time here... Cheers! |
