Morning guys, do you think there's any chance we might see Teuvo tomorrow. - yellowdog
Red font?
If you're serious, I am hoping Regin or Morin get a look. I think Teuvo will play out the year in RFD.

Who is on the panel? The only one I like is elliotte friedman. Glenn healy is an annoying and arrogant troll. Pj stock was dirty as hell as a player. - tomcat24
Every time I watch those bum holes they are so anti-Hawk it's hard to watch the broadcast. The Wings and Bruins series last year vs the Hawks it almost seemed like they were openly rooting against Chicago.

There's some headhunting going on. You want to subject him to this? |

That's the most disappointing...Kane, Toews, Hossa, Sharp and Kane are all MIA. - DarthKane
Completely agree here. Outside of Kane's breakaway goal in game 1 where the frank are our top players? Where's the leadership on this team. And how about our elite goalie making a play? I think you mentioned earlier that all of the goals have been scored by the Hawks defensemen. Tough to beat Miller when every shot is from so far out.
As far as all of the other rhetoric we've been hearing for the past 12 hours or so, we know who the Blues are and what style of game they play...and its certainly not a clean game. The Hawks have done exactly what they wanted them to play down to their level. It's laughable that its reading right now that the Blues are altar boys and the Hawks are the mean thugs...ridiculous.
As far as Backes you certainly hope he's ok, but at some point the other team is going to say enough. We saw what happened with MacKinnon the other week and that's typical of his game. Unfortunately the Hawks have thrown their discipline out the window and it cost them another game and Seabs for at least 2 games.
We'll see what happens Monday I certainly hope the Hawks decide to show up for a full game. Instead of the last period and a half and then give another game away.

Great post! - HawkintheD
the top guys have been off most of the year - no surprise they seem to be a little off during the playoffs. The best players get the most ice time and most pp time and best offensive situations - they must get their act together and they are nothing without their supporting cast. But CC will he get his 6mil and who the heck knows what Kane and Toews will get - if they get more than 8mil, SB is an idiot. They should trade them now to get something of value.
In defense of Toews and Kane now, both players are not 100%. And Hoss and Toews do play the pk. But Kane and Sharp.
Also the last goal - all on Q. He knows Kane and Toews are not 100% - but he throws them out on the ice in OT with Sharp after killing the pp.
We will see Zues again - he played admirably. He belongs on the 4th line with limited time - he kills that Hoss and Sharp line. |

the hawks are not getting the puck bounces and the calls, so reminiscent of 2012. Shaw gets suspended 3 games for a questionable hit. Now Seabrook will be gone - people are thinking at least 2 games. The league will surpise you, the fix is in. (there you go powerenforcer) Shaws suspension was a joke in 2012.
BTW - Versteeg still sucks. what a joke. Terrible pick up even at 2.x mil a year.
Still don't understand Q's line combos and changes - some experts give Q kudos. But all dmen scored in the last game.
PP crap is all on the coaches. |

The Hawks got caught up in playing the Blues game instead of their own especially yesterday and they got burned big time. As much as I liked seeing the Hawks hit back for a change instead of being on the receiving end of the cheap shots that's not how they won two cups in four years. I think they may have learned a hard lesson here and hopefully will focus on their puck possession game. The Blues might just come out Monday trying to settle scores and go for the big hits. This would not be smart on their part because if they win game 3 they will have a strangle hold on the series. They will give the Hawks a chance to get back into the series if they come out preoccupied with exacting revenge and if the Hawks play it smart and get back to their game they can get back into this series. Leave the cheap shots to the Blues. That's not the way the Hawks play and certainly not the way they won the cup. |

Aaron Ward showed numerous cheap shots by Keith using his stick. Said Reaves needs to punch him in the face. - Scooby_Doo
Did they show any of Ott's numerous cheap shots or Lapierre's or are they just Hawk bashing like you? And this from a Nucks fan no less |

Meantime, there is still hockey to be played.
Sad to say, but the style of play for the last half of the season has carried over into this series: Hawks play well for short bursts of time, then nothing.
Game one: 3 goals in about 8 minutes in the first, then nothing for 120 minutes.
Game two: 3 goals in 10 minutes (end of second, beginning of third) - nothing before, nothing after.
They can't put 60 good minutes together, or play with any consistency.
They are a fifth place / lower seeded team playing like one. |
