You just have to look at it optimistically. If the Avs make it to the 2nd round, they have a fresh Matt Duchene and John Mitchell |

If the Avs Face an Elimination game in this series I find it hard to believe Duchene wouldn't be dressing. I think that Roy is confident this team can win this series without Dutchy but if crap hits the fan you bet your behind Duchene will be playing. |

The problem with that theory is that apparently, Dutchy isn't evening *skating*.
It's all well and good to think, "Duchene is waiting on the sidelines to come in and rescue us if things get bad" but add at LEAST a week to every day he doesn't skate and that would be the earliest he returns.
The injury was obviously worse than just a 3-4 week injury (or else he would be skating a little by now).
At this point, I'm much more worried about Mitchell. Knee injuries heal. Concussion symptoms can linger on and on for months... |

Old man Stastny doesn't look to shabby with them either. How can you break up that line. Amazing |

That third goal was something special. Even the way that MacKinnon got the puck behind the back. |

Have been seeing that all season with the kid, he never stops skating forward at a top speed, what he can pull off when he is flying its ridiculous. |

If they can get out of this series healthy and are able to get Duchene and Mitchell back to balance out the lines even more, it could be the making of a deep run for them if all the stars align |

Im no Av's fan. But damn this game is fun right now. Just watching those guys dominate. Landy I was hoping the Av's would get. MacKinnon I thought they were gonna pass over. And its still hard to say. But man he is lights out and special. Looks like a damn good call right now. |

I was one of them who thought Jones was the smart long term choice, MacKinnon is making that though foolish, too talented to overlook
Mac is taking this team on his back right now and running with it.
Hopefully he doesn't let off once Duchene comes back. Since he has been hurt O'reilly has been quiet, pairing them back together on the 2nd line would make match up toughs if they are flying |

Refs have been super inconsistent and pretty awful so far. First game wasnt great, tonight was really bad.
Tonight was one of the most solid games I have seen in a while |

I really thought the Avs would regret not taking Jones. MacKinnon is already a star though! Is that 7 points in 2 playoff games? WTEFFFF |

and its no knock on Jones, he is going to be one hell of a player, but MacK is looking like a top star in the making.
13pts by Jagr is the NHL record for points by an 18year old in the playoffs. He has a fair chance to trump that mark |
