Well, I wouldn't say the Habs are nothing special - they did have 100 points and they do have some very god young players. That said, the Bolts look to be set up for some time with a great young core. |

You guys are a yearly playoff team no doubt but are you a cup contender ? Not this year at least I don't think you have the size yet. We don't have the size or grit in Tampa were not close to contending yet. I know you guys drafted some size and grit so down the road maybe. |

Its always a tough pill to swallow when a game is decided by a refs call.
But Kerry Fraser came out and said that the right call on the ice was made according to the rules, and that it might not sit well with anyone watching but sounds like the league will be backing this call.
Kerry Fraser @kfraserthecall
Correct call on disallowed goal! 69.3if goalkeeper in act of establishing his position within crease, initiates contact with an attacking
Kerry Fraser @kfraserthecall
Cary Price knows this rule & works it to his advantage better than any goalie in the league. It's the rule & I will not debate it further!
I think games should be decided by the boys on the ice, not the guys in stripes. Bob McKenzie even said it himself, even though its technically correct, he doesn't like it, and thats how most people feel. Tampa just needs to respond instead of letting sink the ship, its an uphill battle but its not 4-0 series win tonight - DDM-Coga

Not every CBC person said it was a bad call. Just the clowns who are still bitter that Toronto didn't qualify.
Glen Healy is an absolute joke and PJ Stock is his comedy partner. If you watch the show (CBC HNIC) regularily, you quickly determine who knows hockey: Elliotte Freedman and Ron McLean. They brought out the rule book and read it on air, while they showed the replay. They showed that, by definition, the goal didn't count and the ref made the right call.
The ref was "okay" with the contact at first because the contact was not a penalty, by the rule book. The rule book does define the contact in the blue paint (regardless of who initiated it) calls for the goal to be disallowed.
Kudos to Elliotte and Ron for pulling up the facts of the ruling, rather than spouting baseless opinions in order to say "I'd have a problem with that call too, "Simmer"".
I understand the Tampa frustration but don't bend the facts for those who didn't see the broadcast by saying that everyone on CBC said it was a bad call. In your defense, maybe you didn't see the intermission, where the experts analyzed the play, while the retired jocks where out having a smoke.

I don't need to read any blogs about that disallowed goal being correct as it is written, that is the problem its a flawed rule. The NHL should look at this rule in the offseason.
First Subban prevents Killorn from exiting the goal mouth by blocking him so shouldn't that be interference, then Price knowing this bullpoop rule went out of his way to the left to touch Killorn while tracking the puck to possibly get the call, then to top it all off Price had enough time to reset but he was out off position outside the crease then started to flop back cross ice still outside the crease when the Lightning made the cross ice pass.
There was like 4 seconds from when he touched Killorn to the goal, if there was interference on the play shouldn't it have been called dead the moment the ref saw it but he waited until the goal 4 seconds later so what was that about, poor job by the ref.
Touche on Price for knowing that rule and using it to his advantage and suckering the ref into calling it. They need to review that rule somehow.
Every Habs fan on here would feel the same way as us Bolts fans feel if this game was reversed and it happened to your team, it was a very controversial call that changed the dynamic of the game for our team. |

We managed to reach 100 points while being led by a poop coach with a poop system of "dump and chase". He had a change of mind in the playoff for some reason. CONSPIRACY!
Yeah , we're a middle of the pack team.
Subban, Price, Gally, Patch, Pleks, Markov, etc
+ better than decent bottom six.
Id take a middle of the pack team like that anyday... |
