I don't need to read any blogs about that disallowed goal being correct as it is written, that is the problem its a flawed rule. The NHL should look at this rule in the offseason.
First Subban prevents Killorn from exiting the goal mouth by blocking him so shouldn't that be interference, then Price knowing this bullpoop rule went out of his way to the left to touch Killorn while tracking the puck to possibly get the call, then to top it all off Price had enough time to reset but he was out off position outside the crease then started to flop back cross ice still outside the crease when the Lightning made the cross ice pass.
There was like 4 seconds from when he touched Killorn to the goal, if there was interference on the play shouldn't it have been called dead the moment the ref saw it but he waited until the goal 4 seconds later so what was that about, poor job by the ref.
Touche on Price for knowing that rule and using it to his advantage and suckering the ref into calling it. They need to review that rule somehow.
Every Habs fan on here would feel the same way as us Bolts fans feel if this game was reversed and it happened to your team, it was a very controversial call that changed the dynamic of the game for our team. - stammerman

the worse thing about losing this series atm is that were beating ourselves, the canadiens are not beating us :l its frustrating to an extreme degree.
are the canadiens playing good hockey? for sure.
are the lightning the better team? I believe so, but it sure as hell doesn't look like it when we come out and play like SHlT every game while MTL plays their best hockey of the season (props to them for doing that)
no, nobody expected much from us this season, including myself. and you may think I am being way too hard on a group that has proven everyone wrong this year and had a great year, but its hard not to get mad when you know we aren't even playing half as good as we could be. It's all a part of the process, it just sucks. I guess at the end of the day, I'd rather be feeling this kind of disappointment instead of "finishing bottom 3" disappointment.
And after all, the series isn't over yet. "Don't give us 1" from last year should be a constant theme in this dressing room. |

Id like people to stop picking on the ref. He has a rule book to follow and apply and he did it. The rule is simply flawed like you said. Its a rule supposed to protect the goalies so i dont think the Nhl will do anything just because of that one goal unfortunatly.
and dont you worry about us knowing how it feels.
Theres enough history of controversial calls against this franchise to make the hockey gods facepalm.

Why are you even here? I guess that's like why a French Canadian rookie ref was doing the game in his home town. This is a Bolt blog not Engels why a Montreal Canadian ref for this site? |

Why is there no mention about the terrible call on briere in a scrum picking up the only penalty that led to tbs goal - MTL1
He was 3rd man in which is why he was called.

That wasn't really ban worthy. It offended you.. so what.. You can't ban people just because you're offended, but hey, I'm not the one making the call.
There's a lot of inconsistency around here. I can't believe some of the poop I get away with saying on here, then he gets banned for that? Unreal. |

how on earth can you possibly think the Lightning are the better team? 3 consecutive games they have been outplayed and lost. i know you think the Lightning are beating themselves, because that's easier than admitting that they're playing a superior opponent. but even if that's true, it still makes the Habs the better team, because they're not beating themselves. this is a case of one team having more experience, being more organized and being more disciplined.

The Emelin intention for one, and the one sided reffing. Ya the no goal was brutal but do you honestly think Briere deserved the cross check in the scrum? The no goal was pretty poopty I agree but the Stamkos thing is tough especially on the crowd, live. I wasn't there but was unsure what happened just watching it on TV. I had to wait for the replays to understand it, not an option until later for the crowd.
Stamkos and Prust locked up, a play that happens a lot and did happen a lot tonight and you suspect interference and intentional, suspendable kneeing to the head. I get that you're pissed and don't blame you but thats conspiracy territory and 'knee' jerk reaction writing. - Pie
There's no "suspect" about it. That was interference on Prust. The intentional knee part I agree but what is suspect about that interference? |

Complete Bell Centre special from the officials tonight … From the many non-calls against the Habs (typical in Montreal), the phantom offsides on Stamkos when he was in alone, the phantom "goaltender interference" that negated the goal …
What a (frank)ing joke. One of the worst one-sided officiating snow jobs I've seen in a long, long time. The NHL ought to be ashamed at the joke of a product they presented to the fans tonight.
Tonight presents one hell of a case for the use of video review in the NHL ... - Aloha Mr. Hand

Does it really bother you that much that I think the Lightning are the better team? I didn't state is as a fact, I said I believe so. That doesn't mean you need to believe so.
I've watched the team all year, and MTL all year, as my father is a big time MTL fan, and they are actually my 3rd favorite team, so I watch them. I've come to a conclusion over the course of an 82 game season and a 3-0-1 record against them during said season that the Lightning are the better team, in my opinion. If you do not like it, tough poop.
Like I said, and also gave props to MTL: They are playing their best hockey of the season at a time where it matters most. Tampa is playing their worse hockey of the season where it matters most. I don't think MTL is the better team. They are playing well right now and Tampa is playing horrible, but Tampa is easily the better team when both are at their best IMO. Price saved you guys from being swept by us all Reg Season. Not much to argue with here. |

Well, I gave him two warnings and told him to bring it down a notch. I didn't ban him because I was offended. I banned him because he was being offensive. He chose to go further and bring the fact that the referee is French Canadian into the issue.
So, instead if it getting worse, I gave him a quick 4 hour ban to calm things down, and hopefully he will be back for the game tomorrow. |

I get that but he was the 3rd man in on a scrum and cross-checked our player in the back and got a cross-checking for it. Your Habs brethren are saying that's a bad call. Understand now? |

so, as far as i can understand this, the Lightning being 3-0-1 against Montreal in the regular season makes them better than Montreal, and their 0-3 playoff record in the last 5 days doesn't count. you're certainly entitled to your opinion, no matter how nonsensical, biased and fanboy-esque it is. |

If you look at the video, Briere , plain and simple, came in and cross-checked paquette. There's no grey area at all on that penalty. Briere took his two hands, put them on his stick, and shoved paquette with the stick from the back. |
