since its already getting big coverage from TSN, Hockey News etc, yes they will suspend him and everyone will credit the NHL for doing the right thing.

Yet I think this alls as avoidable if the Refs sent a message earlier in the game, they let too much stick work slide and after the whistle stuff, if the Refs sent a message to the bench to knock it off, cooke doesn't even dream of taking such a hit

TSN, and their panel ripped apart cooke and Nino for their dirty periods.

See Cooke should get a suspension don't get me wrong. The real issue is the nhl cracking down on third and fourth liners and giving ridiculous fines to top players. Weber fined 2500 and lucic fined 5000 they literally wipe their ass with that much money a day[/img]

I know they are guilty of that too, so many incidents of Bottom 6 guys or 3rd Pairing dmen who get the book thrown at them for plays since of the top guys get away with.

Ovechkin was the biggest culprit for the longest time, launching himself, contact to the head, leaving his feet, but at the most 2 games once in a while. Still hits that way and yet they don't do anything about it. Lucic another example, the list can go on of guys who get too many luxuries bc of their status

even Landy isn't innocent in the past either, he hits high sometimes. But I think he has cleaned up his game this season.

Oh yeah don't get me wrong landy could have easily been suspended, any player on any team could. My point is these top players need to take suspensions and people will wake up, coaches especially

I agree they should but NHL won't do that though, they will give the occasional star a slap on the wrist of 3-4 games bc Stars make them money, people come to see guys like Weber play, they don't care about goon squads like Cooke.

Yet they are surprised when guys who are mistreated by the league when they come back at them with concussion lawsuits

Refs all over have been brutal too

Matt Cooke has been going after star players and injuring them for years with no real discipline for it. He is years behind in deserved suspensions and being barred from the game altogether
Sundin, Lecavalier, Karlsson, and others have been hurt over the years.
Was that him that hurt the Bruins player a few years back ,as well?
Chicken poop league allowing him to continue playing. He needs to suffer everything he did to other players and not get medical treatment.

OH i know we have had a brutal PP, but I credit the Wild, they have been aggressive and have had sticks on the lane and on the guys every chance they can't, they are making tonight miserable for the boys.

Refs didn't dictate this outcome, an aggressive and over zealous wild team has been preying on us all night yet Varly is here to say don't worry boys I got this

Gay...nice effort by Granlund, but yet crafty/cheater play by Parise to hold EJs stick not to allow him to close the gap and the lane for Granlund to walk in.

Whatever, we will take game 4. Wild will be singing a different tune on their style of play once Cooke gets a big suspension, I think their running our guys with be toned down

A lot of it was Minny and the pressure they put on them but they seemed to be waiting for the play to come to them a little too much and even the passes seemed to be lacking a little mustard.

ROR PAP McGinn just haven't looked comfortable together since late game 1. Its not working, yet you don't want to break up Landy Staz MacK. Mitchell in-between ROR and PAP would be better.

But in Roy we trust, he wasn't getting the match ups he like, and probably with a cooke suspension coming that will mess with Yeos home ice match up game against us too.
