You must be new here. Allow me to explain. Everything "funny" here must be beaten into the ground unmercifully.

that's the thing. it's not funny to me. at all. but i understand your explanation.

it should be ..... "FOR THINGS THAT BLEED BUT NEVER DIE" #RAGS #UN-NATURAL

i'd just go with the direct approach:

Also, did anyone notice that Downie is now out "indefinitely"?

I do not believe that was the case before.

- johndewar

I said before the playoffs started he wouldn't see the ice again.

Hope he's all right. Hasn't looked right since that first concussion this season. Hope he didn't make it worse trying to play through symptoms in a contract year.

That bad hit he took looked scarey.

Great analysis. Love the in depth look at faceoffs with Adam Hall.

I'm not a fan of Downie by any means. I hope he's able to resume his career. It's been a lost year for him.

Scathing
Accurate

- Scoob

In my opinion, what should happen with a player like Cooke, is that for however long the player he injured, is out, and how many games he misses. The offending player, who is a player who has had multiple suspensions, should also sit out. The problem here is that Colorado could be knocked out of the playoffs, and it could only be a few games. But them a minimum game amount can be decided. If a player like Cooke injures a player, and he misses a month. Cooke should sit out a month, without pay.
Now I doubt the NHLPA would go for something like that. As they represent Cooke. But I would counter don't they also represent Barrie?

Wedding planning is in my future now as well. Be sure to send any wisdom/advice my way.
- BulliesPhan87

1. Be involved in the process. Don't just say "You can take care of everything, honey." It will backfire because she will get upset you haven't done anything. Basically, be there to nod your head.

2. Whatever kind of wedding she chooses, big or small, pretend you love the idea and you're very excited.

3. Get poop done early. Don't wait around or everyone will be stressed and want to kill each other.

4. No matter what the fiancé says, do not let her spend an extended period of time with her mother or mother-in-law during the planning. Be sure to break it up into increments.

5. If your fiancé has a brother, ask if she'd like you to include him as one of the groomsman. Even if her brother is weird. (I'm lucky to have a normal future brother-in-law who loves sports as much as I do).

6. Make several lists. The immediate list, the medium list and the big list. Be sure to group friends into different categories. You will run into problems like "If I invite this person, I need to invite this person."

7. When creating a registry, be sure to put a lot of stuff. Don't put a few items then say "Well, if we don't like it, we can just return it and get stuff we like." People will, stupidly, purchase items from some little boutique halfway across the world and think its the greatest, most thoughtful gift.

Thats it for now. I'm still 8 weeks away, so more poop may come up soon.

8. Have your bachelor and bachelorette parties the same weekend at SEPARATE locations.

Yeah...he really stuck out his knee on that one.

His knee is basically right under him. You can see that Hertl turned his path to not get hit. That's what I mean: Brown goes for open-ice hits. If you turn away from an open-ice hit, you risk a lower body injury.

- jmatchett383

looks stuck out to me and it's funny you found 2 pictures of him kneeing someone nope not a coincidence at all

I haven't had mine yet. I'm only 26, so most of my friends don't have much money to plan some elaborate trip. I venture it will be something small in AC or Philly. No idea what the Bridesmaids are planning for my fiancé.

Or even elope with a high maintenance person with the idea of spending all your money and time on that one high-maintenance person. (Like getting married simply on the beach someplace where you can rent a small house with spa on premises.)

Berating them mercilessly IS associating with them. He may take it all in fun. She may not. It is typically not a girl thing to cope well with what guys consider friendly ribbing. So rib him.

Thats what we wanted to do, but our parents and friends guilted us into having a normal wedding. We're the first of our family and friends to get married. Everyone told us how upset they'd be if we eloped.

I had mine at my buddy's house. Had two kegs, go-karts, and a BBQ. Fun times

I did go to my one friend's bachelor's party in AC. That was a blast too, but he didn't listen to rule #8 and booked a hotel with two rooms side by side, one for the guys and one for his fiance and her friends. We went our separate ways for most of the night until his brother and his brother's wife started arguing and pretty much ruined the whole night.
