Just started up on that a few months ago. Nothing too fancy, but Laphroaig tops any others I've sampled as of yet. Any suggestions along the lines of the Laphroaig? - steelydan
If you like the smokey 'peat-ness' of Laphroaig, then you gotta try Lagavulin. |

I heard that in Philly if you mention Bill Meltzer's name near a club you get bumped to the front of the line. |

In my opinion, what should happen with a player like Cooke, is that for however long the player he injured, is out, and how many games he misses. The offending player, who is a player who has had multiple suspensions, should also sit out. The problem here is that Colorado could be knocked out of the playoffs, and it could only be a few games. But them a minimum game amount can be decided. If a player like Cooke injures a player, and he misses a month. Cooke should sit out a month, without pay.
Now I doubt the NHLPA would go for something like that. As they represent Cooke. But I would counter don't they also represent Barrie? - MJL
Still does not take out the incentive for a lesser player to take out a star. Who cares if the hack sits? I think the punishment needs to extend to the team such as a fine.
Also the penalty should factor in intent not just result. Maybe the offending player is suspended AND the hurt player's team gets to choose another player who will have to sit out for x games and forfeit salary, where x depends not just on severity of injury but on intent. Thus, Blues can choose to take out Toews for a game and Avs can force Suter to miss two, as in both cases there was clear intent to injure. When players realize that they are risking taking away other player's time and salary, I think there will be inner pressure from the team to curtail such behavior. |

Could a penalty be that during the suspension, the team roster is frozen, so that there can't be any call-ups or using healthy scratches to replace said player? The team, especially in the playoffs, would have to go with a roster that is short one player for the amount of the suspension. That would be a hell of a hit for a team to have to take on because of one person's stupidity. |

Good point. But I would hope that the lesser player would care about being suspended and losing money.

Honestly think it's fair that a player who had nothing to do with it, should have to sit out and lose salary?
