Biggest worry with Ray is lateral movement. The rangers will be looking to make cross ice passes down low because they've buried nearly every one they've completed. - hereticpride
this is obviously no secret. the flyers have to do their best to protect the east-west, down low one time bullpoop. clog the (frank)ing middle like it is a pore on a teenager's face and help your goalie out. adjust to what you have. |

I think it was clear on Sunday the Rangers didnt bring their "A" game - Just5
I disagree, I think they did bring it. Rangers generated 65 shot attempts to the Flyers 44. |

And that is so much easier to do when you're staying out of the box. If they're gonna score make them score dirty, messy goals. That isn't their style and it will slow them down for sure. |

No question. The Rangers are struggling to finish at ES, even with the large disparity in shots. The Rangers have to be real concerned about that. Most top teams with the possession edge that the Rangers had over the Flyers in both games, would've walked away with easy victories in both games normally.

staying out of the box affects everything else. it's key if they want to win this series and have a chance of winning the next one. all that PK time wears guys down and subjects them to a greater chance of injury from shot blocks.

There's a fine line between 'staying out of the box' and getting ticky tacky stuff called on you even though the opposition is doing it as well. |

there is. i'm saying don't give the zebras any obvious reason to call a penalty. i'd be thrilled if they had 3 minors or less tonight. |

The most laughable was the fine defensive shut down play by Coburn on Stepan. 2 minutes for being 6 foot 5. |

This is where the Flyers have to stop with the dumb penalties. Make the Rangers work for dirty goals. The Flyers will win that battle more times than not. - hereticpride
it's on the defense to protect emery's lateral movement then |

nobody would know that except him or someone who really knows obscure dialogue from a specific movie. i do this with him a lot. just drop posts that he'll get without addressing him directly. it amuses me. - hammarby31

Emery has largely outplayed Henrik Lundqvist thus far in the series, and is the biggest reason the Flyers even have a split and home ice advantage in the series. Starting an ice cold Steve Mason, who hasn't played in ten days and hasn't even completed a full practice coming off an injury, might be less of a sure bet than Emery at this point in time. - Jsaquella
i'm not trying to take anything away from emery but you can't ignore his potential weakness unless our d is rock solid he may be exposed in a horrible way |

Which brings us to my cartoon quote of the night -
This week was next week last week, which means next week isn't this week until...
