LOL
My first playoff game was game 7 vs the Islanders in 1975!
My dad's cousin was sick, so I got to go in his place (I was all of 9!)
Kate Smith live, Bernie Parent was fabulous and the Flyers, after blowing a 3-0 lead in the series, completely dominated the Isles from start to finish in a convincing 4-1 win! Two weeks later, it was parade time again!
- BiggE
I still vividly remember how nervous 10 year-old me was for that game, especially since the Islanders came back from an 0-3 deficit in their prior series. |

Got a feeling this is the pivatol game in the series. Whoever wins tonight will win in 6 games. With that thought I think we pull out a 3-2 win tonight. - Sms401
Game 3 seems to always be a pivotal game in any 7 game series.

That was freakin hilarious
I was just kidding about the Easter Dress, but I probably won't put her in her jersey because they lost the first game with her in it lol. - FlyersSteve118
I'm keeping my jersey on the hanger tonight, and making sure no rangers fans are in my vicinity, I watched game one with my buddy who's a huge rags fan and I was about one "Rags are getting the cup this year" comment away from punching him in the face. |

Oh I know....LOL
I love it when people pull up their superstitions. I just like to bust chops and come up with medieval solutions to old world problems.
I dated an Italian chick who had all sorts of these weird superstitions. Salt over the shoulder, umbrellas in the house, it used to tease her unmercifully about it. I would salt windowsills and doorways to ward off evil spirits just to annoy her. We didn't last too long. - MBFlyerfan
A lot of those superstitions make some sort of sense though. Break a mirror, "seven years bad luck" because glass gets everywhere and you always miss a little shard or two and always find it in the future when you aren't wearing shoes.
Walking under a ladder... People are usually working on top of ladders and poop falls down. Common sense..
Umbrellas open inside. Pointy edges in a small space = taking someones eye out. And open on the ground they are a tripping hazard.
But some people take it way too far, I get you, but sports superstitions are normally just funny stuff people do. It never really gets serious. |

Are you telling me the flyers are still in this series after being embarrassed in game 1? Crazy, I thought one game determined a series!
With a win tonight the flyers can really get some momentum and go for the strangle hold on Friday. I'm hoping the crowd really fires this team up tonight and we chase King Rag off the ice! |

All's fine. Little lady enjoyed Game 2. I'm just not here on the weekends because, well, I have no free time. |

If Carcillo is in, then it becomes a chess match to see who can release the stupid first.

Yeah, me too. I was wearing that during game 1 as well. I got an old black Gagne jersey that is a freaking Medium... Every time I put it on I remember how skinny I used to be lol. |

Not sure who said game 1 determined a series. I think the majority opinion was the Flyers needed a split of the first 2 games. |

I hear you. I've forced myself to realize that there is no such thing as free time anymore. Just time. I'm always in such a rush to get to a certain point in the day that i skip over important moments in the day.
Like the Flyers are on at 8 tonight. So i have to make sure i really play with my son when i get home from work instead of "kinda" play with him but really am just killing time until the Flyers come on.
Makes me angry. Work 40 hours a week. 15 hours a week driving to and from work. 5 hours a week getting ready and making my lunch.
60 hours just for a job that pays me 45k.
