Have sneaking suspicion the Voracek-Hagelin fight was called as roughing penalties so as not to have to enforce jersey tie-down fight rule.

In an attempt to lockdown the game, the Flyers will employ an 0-5 forecheck and a neutral zone trap to prevent the Rangers from coming back in the game.
Berube will defend the crap out of the Rangers. Defend them so much they give up. |

Fair enough..I saw the Flyers outplaying the Rangers that second period. - opeth_pa
I also thought the Flyers had the better of the play in the 2nd...
same effort in the 3rd will make this a very interesting game. |

I would like to see them, if not come back and tie/win...
To impose their will physically. For the first time in this series, make the Rangers life hell, and make those d-men take some punishment. Only time I remember that happening is Hartnell on McDonagh in game 1.
Engage in slight after the whistle stuff, initiate contact and get under their skin. Play to your strength, and make it hard on them for the first time in the series. |

Because Hagelin's sweater came up. I noticed that.
That's so shady if it's true. |

That would require a conspiracy. Hagelin's jersey wasn't tied down to start the game. Ref's didn't want to toss him.

Rangers are letting the Flyers out shoot them. Rangers are playing back and just blocking shots. They are keeping to the inside of the hashmarks and not allowing their dmen to take any checks on the forechecks.
Wouldn't kill Read to remember how to score. - Flyersgod
he's on my poop list. invisible.
and you know the flyers could still manage to actually just get their shots through. get some tips. get some rebounds. it's astounding how bad they are in this capacity. and the rangers seem to get everything from the point on net, and sometimes in the net, like the 3rd goal. they barely work for their goals. the flyers effort in generally monumental in scoring on them. |

Sometimes, you gotta acknowledge when another team has something to do.with that.
I mean, look at the shot blocks by the Rangers, even up two goals. They're sacrificing themselves, risking injury.
it's just not gonna be easy every night, and while I don't ever rule out offseason moves, I don't think trading everyone based off this series is going to be helpful. Sometimes, young players have to go through this stuff - AllInForFlyers
Most/all teams lose playoff series before winning it all. Guys have to grow by winning and losing. Even if they lose this series, I'd consider the season successful. A lot of player turnover just for the sake of it would eliminate any gains this season has provided |

Do you really think he is going to get much better? I am not just seeing his game progress. It's not that I dislike him. I just see him having some value to get better in other areas. |

We don't have the roster to beat teams up physically. We have a two-way roster with average speed and hockey sense, and we aren't as big as we'd probably like. |

Oh man.. Hartnell just can't play with Giroux and Voracek. Time for his days on the top line to come to an end.
Rangers just collapsing and allowing the flyers to shoot from the perimeter. |
