I almost felt as if the refs called that horrible penalty on a great defensive play by Carcillo, just to get him back for that world class dive he took earlier. That crap should have been an embellishment and a delay of game penalty.

Could be, good point. He went down like he was dead. And it looked on the replay like he was hardly touched.

I wonder if Refs are required to review all the calls they make, or if they take it upon themselves to do so. Because they sure got that one wrong. It was actually a great defensive play by Carcillo.
- MJL

i thought he kind of got Read on the hands....which would make it a correct call....was hard to tell...

I can't even pretend to be anywhere even close to being the analyst that Bill is, but here is my $0.02 on last night.

They got their asses kicked. Plain and simple.

Sure, they spent a lot of time in the Rangers zone, but were never a threat, even on the power play.

The coaching staff has their work cut out for them in order to make this a series. Game 4 is a must win.

Yeah, pretty much all of this.

One thing I can't stop thinking about from the game:

How did Carcillo not get a 10 minute misconduct for his behavior after being called for that penalty on Read? It was a horrendous call on ahell of a play, I'd be upset too, but I'm sure we can all say that we've gotten tossed from men's league games for less talk directed at an official.

Just funny to me, thats all.

- FloHaake

He even bumped the official. I was shocked he got away with that...regardless of how terrible a call the initial penalty was..

Elaine Vigneault sure has his team trained to whine and dive. Good for them.

The refs were pretty bad last night. Seems to be a theme in a lot of playoff games this post season.

Blocked Shots. Not sure what the answer is, but I do know the Rangers aren't too worried about getting in front of anyone on our team, so that tells me nobody on the Flyers is really able to crank a shot, or they aren't getting the opportunity. Maybe firing a few that start to go a little high will make players hesitate before getting in a lane.

We're extremely soft in front of our own net. One of the biggest hits of the night was when Raffl ended up on his ass. If the Rangers want to go after G, and they do, we should be pounding McDonagh, and it should start with Rino in the first looking for a good clean hit and burying him hard in the wall.

Flyers can't have any more of this...

How can that site post that garbage and not even show a clip the obvious head air that Read punished Carcillo with.

Ok, so not as much of a wiff as I thought, but definitely nothing that should make you spin in the air and fall to your death either. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0SlXund2rQ

I wasn't gonna say anything. I think the word is Read is getting a $5k fine and that's it, but don't hold me to that.
