When I was doing the English version of the Pelle book, my first plan was to run the Swedish version through translation software to save time on the process on the front end.

Well, that only made the job harder. I understood the original Swedish text better than the horrible translation and soon scrapped it in favor of doing a translation from scratch.

Example: in Swedish, the word "gift" has two different meanings. The translation software picked the wrong one. Instead of saying Göran Hörnestam is married to Pelle's sister Ann-Louise, it said he is poison to her!
