chia needs to get a little heat for not getting anything better than a player that nobody was going to trust in a big spot in meszaros at the deadline
not the whole problem, clearly..but part of it

Just like 90% of their fans, this comment proves how classless and sore losers some B's fans can be. Crawl back in your hole along with the rest of the biggots (PK is celebrating tonight btw and is laughing at you pea brains).

Aren't you bozos tired of losing to us every spring? ... we've been beating your sorry a*s for the last 100 years.

Enjoy the golf you whinny cry baby!

No poop

My take is, if the Bruins played like they cared instead of playing like they think they deserve to win, that series was over in 5 games max.

Yep, Game 6&7 Bruins mailed it in while the Habs played well.

Not time to blow it up, even playing like sh!t they were a puck hitting Marchand's skate in G1 from taking it in 5 (not that they deserved to).

Z's got to be injured, no Seids/McQuaid hurt, but the kids will be better for it. At least Krug and Miller will, Bart can go (frank) himself. Hamilton really did look good for the most part.

if i were julien i would have switched up the lines for the 3rd period of game 6 and then in game 7 as well
get marchand off the 1st line, maybe put loui or fraser in that spot
something to mix things up and to see if someone clicks..he had the flexibility to do that with the forwards, his hands were tied with the D

i'm a big julien fan, but not doing something like that makes me scratch my head

Yeah, Hamilton did look pretty good for the most part.
Chara, not sure he's injured... Maybe he's just getting old. He's a big, big guy, so it must take a lot of energy to drag his body on the ice after 82 games + playoffs.

Maybe it's time for Julien to cut in Chara's ice time drastically during the season.

We'll find out soon enough, but it looked to me like he had a wrist injury after he took that shot off it. Both were probably a factor, he's getting up there and has played A LOT of hockey in the past 4 years.

CJ actually did roll back his minutes quite a bit this year, will have to continue as the kids mature.

Not super worried about it, he's a fitness freak, hopefully the extended off-season will do him some good. He's obviously going to get worse, not better at this point, but I think he's got a few high level years in him still.

A wrist injury shouldn't affect your skating. And man did he ever look slow.

Chara is either hurt or is getting old and run down. Guy plays 30 minutes a night.

Cloooode definitely needed to get creative with the lines. End of the day they had 4 defensemen on the ice, all with under 2 years of NHL experience and it showed.

Chia gets heat there.

Bruins had more than ample opportunity to win games and the series and they didn't.

Habs buried every chance from a turnover or good bounce or mysterious power play. Price was good and did what he had to. Subban was good and their plugs plugged in.

I think the game was over after the miller snafu in game 6 and then the series over after the first goal by dale "10 minutes of fame" weise

last year he had a hip flexor...last night it looked like skate issues early, if not, he was drunk
he has played less this year, by a decent amount
that being said, it wasn't his best series

Not sure why Chia is taking some heat...if our top guys score on 20% of their chances the series is done in 5 games, but they didn't...

Overreaction Thursday.

He could have done more at the deadline, although rumour was he had a deal in place for Edler that fell through which would have solved the whole Bartkowski issue. Overall, team underperformed, but the pieces were there even with 4 of 6 D in their first/second season.

Comments from a certain friend...

Bart wasn't good, but he was no worse than Kaberle was the year we won the Cup. This is not on him ...

What it really comes down to is that our big players didn't show up, particularly Krejci and Marchand. Lucic brought some intensity and physicality, but we needed him to show up more on the scoresheet. We needed more out of just about everyone. Soderberg was our best player in the postseason. While that's great for him and a good sign of things to come, it's unacceptable as a team. Chara looked off and I honestly expected more intensity out of Iginla for a guy at the end of his career who has never won a Cup.

In hindsight, plenty of things to pick at like Chiarelli's lack of suitable additions at the deadline, Clooooode's predictable refusal to shake things up, questionable refereeing at times, the usual diving and flopping show from the Habs (to be expected), 13 posts, etc. ... But at the end of the day, the Bruin's best players didn't show up for the series and get the job done, and that's why we're out.
