Our 2nd line is junk without Duchene though, so we are still just a 1 line threat. They will need to carry the load again tonight.
And who gave Granlund the EA Sports perk bonus, guy just have been more and more noticeable after every game |

I think he really started to make strides during the Olympics. Maybe Sota can correct me if I'm wrong. |

I think it was before that. But I think playing in the Olympics was important to continue to build his confidence. Big stage, top players, and he held his own. No doubt it did his game good. |

I was never a fan of Roy - his arrogance always rubbed me the wrong way. But he deserves credit for what he has done with the Avs. And that presser yesterday - that's a guy that has a good grasp of the big picture. He really does look to be a good choice to lead their team to greater success. |

It impressed me too, really enjoyed how he said he would not throw his team under the bus or any players under it, he is in it with them, so he takes it very personally. Seems really emotionally invested in them. Love the passion. |

I have no clue, guess they wanted to give him the ultimate honour by doing so. It was a really meaningful season when they won the cup with him. Its weird for a rental plus a year, but its Bourque so why not? |

You can just tell that he knows where they are at. They've overachieved but they are here and have skilled guys and good goaltending. It can take them a long way in the playoffs. He knows that as well as anyone. But even if they don't go far, he also knows they have taken huge strides this year. And with this core, they could be a very good team for a very long time.
I can't remember if it was a story Russo did or a radio interview I heard, but he told a story about how Roy just gave Erik Johnson a clean slate. He basically gave him the confidence to play and allowed him to make mistakes. And I get the impression he did that with all their guys - just let them know it was OK to make mistakes. I think that is important to allow teams to develop. I've thought for a few years now it is one of the things holding some of the Wild players back - they fear mistakes too much to just go out and play. |

Plays like that SH goal seriously make me question all the Suter hyper. Turns puck over, then makes the weakest attempt possible to disrupt pass which led to goal. |

its crazy how much and good you guys are at getting your sticks in the passing lanes now compared to games 1 & 2. The MacKinnon line could dipsy doodle before bc they had time and space, play time is long gone |
