good post. giving away the 1st round picks are realllyy going to set the blues back over the next few years as they will have to draft extremely well to select future NHLers in the later rounds. 0.897 save% for miller is hilarious to me (a hawks fan) bc they gave up potentially two first round picks and a solid top 9 power forward in stewart for a first round exit and a UFA that will head to Cali. The armstrong/ hitchcock combo has not done the job for st louis...and im fine with that!

The Blues went all in for this year and it didn't work. Can't blame them for trying - I guess.

But not looking pretty going forward with Chicago, Colorado, Dallas and Minny in the same division - all teams who have or continue to build thru the draft and are trying to develop their good young players as opposed to trading off draft picks.

Dallas and Minnesota will be sick in a few years...IF they stay on course with building the correct way.

It will be tough to get out of that division with the new playoff formats. But I believe you have a few more years to wrap up a couple more Cups before those 3 teams make deep runs in the playoffs.
