I pretty much felt the same way about BSchenn until this year. He showed me a little something that I didn't know he had - an ability to finish. Twenty goals (most in the tough areas around the net) is nothing to turn your nose up at. And the kid is still only 22.

That said, I still feel he's better suited as a winger than a center. I just feel his overall awareness in still lacking a bit. He's not a great passer, and not particularly good on faceoffs. But I'm beginning to appreciate his play along the boards and in front of the net which is why I give him another year before I look to move him. Again, that said, the right deal comes along and he's vaya con Dios.

But I'd be a little careful to make sure it's the right deal. I'd hate to add his name to the dreaded Patrick Sharpe list.

I'm with you in pretty much all of this. I'm not tied I him, but don't want to give him away just yet. Next year is a big season for him. I feel this is the time we traded JVR. With Schenn I hope they let him take the next step before he gets moved unless the deal is too good.

I'm not letting them off the hook, but the difference in this series is the level of defenseman and goaltending. I'm pretty sure the Flyers would have won this series with the Rangers D and Lundqvist.
