They never led the NHL in scoring over a four year period. Giroux also has a NMC. - Feanor
Unless capgeek is wrong that doesnt kick in till next year. |

Sorry but the difference in this series has been our fprwards having their heads up their asses with exception to voracek and a few others. - JoeRussomanno
Yeah. McDonagh, Girardi, Staal and Lundqvist have had no hand in anything. Our forwards just aren't trying hard enough. They need an inspirational speech. |

Ive seen enough flubbed shots and missed opportunities from them to let our d-corps off the hook. Ive seen ny make us pay with their opportunities, thats been the difference. One group is a bunch of winners ours unfortunately isnt at the moment and hopefully somehow flips a switch between now and wednesday. |

Please don't forget the "Holmgren" rule in the new CBA where a NMC/NTC kicks in when the contract is signed and not when it goes into effect.
And maybe I just call it the "Holmgren" rule... couldn't be directed at our GM! Nope, not at all... |

It's not like the Flyers would trade Giroux between now and when his new contract takes effect in July anyway. |

I guess Couts becomes our 1st and 3rd line center. I hope his conditioning is good heading into next season. |

There is a symmetry there because Jake will need to be the first and second line right winger. |

You are aware that offense and defense is completely tied to one group. If a team isn't scoring, it doesn't mean the forwards are completely to blame.
Forgive me for saying this, but the Flyers aren't going to beat the Rangers 5-4 in any game in this series. Their best chance to win is to hold NY to 2 goals or less. That would require better team defense from everyone. |

playoffs and goalies make for strange outcomes. In Anaheim, Hiller leads the team all year and then Andersen takes over the net, only to lose it in the third period of the clinching game. In San Jose, Niemi is one win away from the next round and now finds himself on the bench in favor of Stalock for game 6. |

Im sorry i keep expecting people to understand what winning and actually being good is about... Lets start with capitalizing on our opportunities ... Forget about making them for a second. Its not really hard to defend a team that cant score in a whorehouse after winning the powerball. |

Dude, the Rangers are better than them. They don't have the horses to compete with this team. The Rangers are a veteran team built 4 lines deep with a group of top 4 and goalie rivaling any team in the league.
Flyers have a good top line, good shutdown line, decent goalie and a group of inconsistent defenseman. |
