Richards and Carter cant hold Girouxs jock strap. - GOA88
Oh really do tell? Under their tenure ww had a couple deep runs in the playyoffs with equally talented teams around them and subpar goaltending. What has giroux done? Oh yea he clowned sidney crosby on a play... Big (frank)ing deal |

They cant find a third line center? Really? - JoeRussomanno
Joe, do you want them to trade Giroux for a legit #1 defender?
I guess I missed this part.
Where do they find a #1 center then? |

Dude, the Rangers are better than them. They don't have the horses to compete with this team. The Rangers are a veteran team built 4 lines deep with a group of top 4 and goalie rivaling any team in the league.
Flyers have a good top line, good shutdown line, decent goalie and a group of inconsistent defenseman. - PhillySportsGuy
I thought we have the best center in hockey? That has to count for something... Right?! |

You are joking, right?
Giroux is only a plus PPG player in the playoffs.. an extremely difficult task to accomplish.. was also pretty instrumental in the cup run, WHILE Richards and Carter were still here. |

Wow, I'm pretty sure we'd all have been thrilled with this team if you had told us they were going to make the playoffs back when the regular season started and they fired Laviolette.
I'm not saying I'm satisfied, but anyone who looks at this team, as currently constituted, and thinks they were capable of a deep playoff run is seriously deep into the Orange Kool-Aid. Some pieces are really young and some pieces are kind of out of place. This team is very much a work in progress. They are not built to win now.
Oh, and the notion of trading Claude Giroux is batpoop crazy. I'm going to pretend that whoever brought it up did so ironically. |

G is a first line center
Not the best in the league but a good one
Sorry if you don't think so but most people would agree on this |

You forget Giroux was a part of those teams. Giroux is the reason Richards became expendable. What has Richards done lately? And dont tell me the Stanley Cup because the Kings were winning it without him anyways. |

He's not the best in the world. He's one of the best and it does count for something. He can't carry a team by himself though. No player can carry a team to a Cup by themselves. The unreal expectations people put on Giroux is ridiculous. The Rangers are focusing exclusively on Giroux. Guys like Toews and Crosby have the luxury of other star players to split the burden. They also have defenseman capable of moving the puck more than 20 feet at a time.
There is a reason Voracek has more room to operate. It's because Giroux has, at least, one Ranger on top of him at all times. They have completely focused all of their energy on stopping him. Even on the PP they pressure him right away. He's forced to get rid of the puck. |

They thought einstein was crazy too so no offense taken... As for me ive been called/refered tp as a variety of things for things like pointing out briere was washed up before 2012 playoffs, criticizing the lecavalier signing won me all sorts of wonderful remarks. Sometimes you gotta make the tough calls. |

And as a primary player he has been the best Flyer we have seen in a decade.
He is one of the best point producing players in the NHL since the trade.
But, he is having a bad series.. so, ya know.. he isnt even a #1 center. |

Giroux outplayed both Richards and Carter in the 2010 and 2011 playoffs. You need to get over those guys already. |
