Giroux outplayed both Richards and Carter in the 2010 and 2011 playoffs. You need to get over those guys already.

Sidney Crosby has had back to back bad playoff series.. Hasnt even potted a goal in 9 straight. He is pretty much the equivalent of Joel Otto.

He's not the best in the world. He's one of the best and it does count for something. He can't carry a team by himself though. No player can carry a team to a Cup by themselves. The unreal expectations people put on Giroux is ridiculous. The Rangers are focusing exclusively on Giroux. Guys like Toews and Crosby have the luxury of other star players to split the burden. They also have defenseman capable of moving the puck more than 20 feet at a time.

There is a reason Voracek has more room to operate. It's because Giroux has, at least, one Ranger on top of him at all times. They have completely focused all of their energy on stopping him. Even on the PP they pressure him right away. He's forced to get rid of the puck.

And as a primary player he has been the best Flyer we have seen in a decade.

He is one of the best point producing players in the NHL since the trade.

But, he is having a bad series.. so, ya know.. he isnt even a #1 center.

Its not impossible but who is filling his role??? Laughton? Schenn? Lecavalier??? The ghost of Eric Lindros??!!!

They thought einstein was crazy too so no offense taken... As for me ive been called/refered tp as a variety of things for things like pointing out briere was washed up before 2012 playoffs, criticizing the lecavalier signing won me all sorts of wonderful remarks. Sometimes you gotta make the tough calls.

Eh hes won a cup and come close to winning another. Im pretty sure hes done more than rack up points in a watered down nhl regular season.

Dude, the Rangers are better than them. They don't have the horses to compete with this team. The Rangers are a veteran team built 4 lines deep with a group of top 4 and goalie rivaling any team in the league.

Flyers have a good top line, good shutdown line, decent goalie and a group of inconsistent defenseman.

Way to oversell the New York Rangers. It's the New York Freaking Rangers.

A team that finished 2 points ahead of the Flyers. A team that scored 218 goals compared to our 236. A team that only gave up 193goals compared to our 231.

The Rangers gave up 14 fewer goals then the Pens did this season.

Don't fall all over yourself praising the New York Rangers because they shut down the Flyers. The Flyers shut themselves down.

Why you continuially praise the Rangers is insulting to me.

I believe that one of Alt, Morin, Hagg or Ghost will be a top pairing guy.
The others I have hope will be strong 2nd or 3rd pairing. I'd like to believe they all become NHL regulars. But even if half of them do then we've done well.

Exactly. Look at the production by lines. I think the top line has more goals than all other lines combined at even strength.

I know that is where I am coming from too.

Keith made a play the other day to keep a wild bouncing puck in at the blue line, and turned it into a goal.

That same puck on the Flyers turns into an odd man rush going the wrong way.

The Rangers have been one of the best teams in hockey over the 2nd half of the season.

The Flyers have played very well since their horrid start to the season. The Rangers still have a better record since that time.
