Lets face it... Hartnell isnt his old self. In fact hes been pennywise and foolish himself this series. But id be ok with sitting rinaldo for laughton. Gus for gill too... Gill may not be an offensive dman but he is an nhl player he should have potted that gift. - JoeRussomanno
Hartnell hasn't played well no question about it. But neither has Simmonds, B.Schenn, Lecavalier, or Giroux. Who is going to replace Hartnell? McGinn? He didn't play very well at all during his latest call up.
Unfortunately the Flyers don't have any options to replace top 6 forwards. Not many teams do. They are what they are at this point. |

I don't think Laughten is eligible to play. I forget where I read it but if we play him it would take a way a year of his contract? Is this true?? |

Either way they need to get him off the top line. I think simmonds and b-schenn need someone who can skate with them as well. |

Who is the 5'11 team? - PhillySportsGuy
That would be the Mtl canadiens headlined by 5'10 Mike Weaver and 5'8 cannonball Francis Bouillon...
Other guys rounding out the group are Emelin at 74 inches, Gorges at 73 inches, Subban at 72 inches, and Markov at 72 inches |

They need someone who can carry the puck. Neither of them are very good at carrying the puck into the zone. Tbh, I don't think they're a good match together. They both like going to the front of the net. I think Simmonds may work better with Couts and Read. He's similar to Downie, but better and less volatile. |

That's fair. I would take him off the top line. I would put Read with Giroux. |

Not to change the subject but is pittsburgh really letting niskanen walk? If so the flyers better throw the house at him. |

Chief's content to live and die by the 19/28/93 line, it seems. |

Raffl doesn't have enough ability to finish at the NHL level at this point to play on a top line. |

That money already went to AMac (yay!).
Unless they're going to pull another Richards/Carter type deal, or are willing to dump Grossmann/VL/Hartnell, they can barely re-up the RFA's and fill out the roster with the paltry sum they have to work with. |

Thats why I said combined but my purpose was to illustrate that Lundqvist has been better than average which was the way you characterized it. Yes the Rangers play great team defense, but so does Boston yet people heap praise on Rask but when Lundqvist puts up the numbers that he puts up its because of the guys in front of him. I'm not saying the Flyers can't win this series either, they very well can, all I am saying is Lundqvist has been above average. I didn't come her to start a fight and will eave the board, I just wanted to make my point. Good luck tomorrow night. - Blueshirts4ever
You (and other Rangers fans) are welcome here any time when you respectfully show up to chat hockey, which you have. Even disagreements, when handled respectfully, are fine (at least with me).
Most Flyers fans would obviously like to see the team playing better but this series has gone as expected for the most part. I predict the Flyers win tomorrow and lose game 7. Hope I'm wrong but I'm not seeing any indication that they have what it takes win a close game 7 at MSG. After a bad start, a remarkable recovery, a solid stretch run over a brutal final schedule, I wonder if the ship is finally running aground. |

Shuffling lines...sitting guys...meh. put the lines back to the regular season combos, and give us an honest playoff effort. They are good enough to win. Just have to want it. That said I'd love to have a 100% healthy downie and maybe , just maybe let Vincent watch from the press box. I honestly don't think he has anything to offer. |

Giroux/Hartnell have exactly 1 more goal combined..
On another sad note.. Mark Streit is the co-leader in points for the Flyers in the playoffs. He is tied with Giroux and Voracek with three points each. |
