How about we get the other 2 useless components off the second line? - MBFlyerfan
Schenn and simmonds need someone who can carry the puck with speed. |

Nah, not one of those "we're a better matchup with the Rangers" types. Doesn't matter to me who Pens play. Tough series either way.
I didn't way who I want to play. Just saying I think the Flyers win this. - 87_71_11_29
If thats the case you might be the only Pens fan that actually believes you can beat the Flyers. |

You're nutz. Have you watched this series? This has been the least watchable series in the first round. It's like watching paint dry and the paint is mostly red, white and blue. - mayorofangrytown
Agreed. Rags are boring to watch. But, I guess if I had Hank in goal, I'd try and win 2-1 also.
I thought your forward depth would give them more of a problem than it has. I'm surprised actually that hasn't happened yet. Perhaps we see it tonight. |

Might be time to watch the games a little more closely before saying G is a choker. Not sure what you expect from any player with 3 guys draped on their back all game. |

Yep so they can fumble the puck when its gets on their sticks then chase it to the corner where they lose yet another battle. Gotcha.

The Flyers live or die with special teams. They're not a very good even-strength team. - bradleyc4
No they aren't and their PP in this series has been extremely weak. It's one thing not to score it's another to not get a shot. |

I look at it this way...if the Pens cant stop having the Flyers mind-f*ck them into submission, they don't deserve to win.
Pens actually skated away from all of the post-whistle stuff against Columbus.
Now, doing that against the Flyers is another matter. It would be great theatre to see how much, if at all, our star players have truly matured.

Isn't the idea of having an elite goaltender to take chances and try and score goals? I think when a team has a weak netminder the idea is to try and hide him by playing close to the vest. When you have a stud, you can afford to open things up.
Just my opinion. If I had an elite goalie, I would try and build a relentless attacking team, not one that sits back trying to win games 2-1. |

This team needs players with better puckhandling for sure. How many players do we have that can successfully handle the puck? Giroux, Raffl, Voracek, Streit, Timonen, and maybe Read on a good night? Vinny's control is just like WTF HAPPENED TO YOUR HANDS BRUH?!!! |

None of them are playing well, but Vinny is the worst of the bunch right now. Hopefully that changes starting tonight. |

So trade him along with Rod Bordson to Toronto for Kadri, Franson and a lottery pick then? |

Uh you might wanna take your own advice, just to educate you a bit, choking isnt about just losing or not scoring, choking in any sport is when the opportunity to score or make a big play is there, you come up nill... Giroux has been whiffing on shots and missing open nets left and right this series. Thats classic choking. |

Whenever we have blah blah blah amount of 20 goal scorers it's like the kiss of death for our club. That's like a goal every 4 games for each player and in a 7 game series we can either score by the fist full or throw a 5 spot across the series by our forwards for a 5 or 6 game elimination. |

If you trade him, and im only lobbying for tgis because the contract is an albatross, you get an established player which fils a team need not a marketing one. |

he has to be harboring some sort of injury. i understand hes pretty immobile. but hands dont really go. kovalev would fall down at less than .203 miles an hour, but he still has one of the best sets of hands in the world. |

After the rage has died down after a few days ago, we can look back and see a team that- for the most part- dictated the 5v5 play during long stretches of the game.
The powerplay has let them down in this series.
The Rangers are a beatable team. If the Flyers work hard on the boards and play a north/south game, we'll see a game 7. I want to say I expect them to come right out of the shoot tonight, but that'd be silly because they probably won't.
I really feel like if they win tonight, they won't lose game 7.
I don't want to shave yet.
Back to studying. |

Yeah, I think he miss one chance at an open net. That was game 5 and the pass was fast and not on the tape like it should have been. I really dont think you watch all too much. At least thats the impression I'm starting to get. |

But you are right. That is exactly what the Rangers do.... Try and win 2-1 games. More so with Tortorella. AV has loosened the reigns a bit. |
