I would suggest (though fat chance Berube listens to me )
Raffl-G-Voracek
Akeson-Schenn or VL-Simmonds
Hartnell-Couturier-Read
Hall-VL or Schenn-Rinaldo - BiggE

Replace Rinaldo with somebody who can play hockey and I'd be 100% behind this. |

I'd flip Hartnell and Raffl, but other than that, it works for me.

I understand completely. The signing just didn't make sense. Now if they had moved B Schenn for a dman last season, sure then you can justify signing Vinnie but since they didn't, there was no point in going after him. - BiggE

I'd give Laughton a shot at this point, but I don't see Berube doing it. |

Maybe someone like Laughton? I mean what would the Flyers do tonight without Rinaldo chasing people with the puck for 5 minutes. |

I'd settle for Holmstrom or McGinn or just about anybody. |

Yeah, I hear you and its probably correct. More and more, whether they win or lose this series, I think it may be time for a new GM. I'm really on the fence with this one as I think Holmgren has done very well when it comes to the draft, especially in the 1st round, and I think he makes more good trades than bad, but the signings, ugh, between his choice of who to sign and the lengths and amounts of some of the deals, I just don't want him to be the guy who decides what free agents to go after and how much to offer them. |

If you are going to replace Rinaldo, I'd like it to be someone with at least decent speed and that pretty much rules out Holmstrom or McGinn. |

This is a team that dresses a 39-year-old Hal Gill in a critical playoff game.
Do you really think that they believe they're better without Rinaldo? |

I'd do it in a second, not sure that Toronto would though. |

I can live with Rinaldo in the lineup, but for the love of God Chief, take the shackles off and let him play his game and cream some Rangers! The PK has been very strong, and I'm willing to risk killing off a couple of Rinaldo penalties if he takes them by putting Rangers through the wall. A 2 minute minor for charging or boarding is more than worth it if it slams McDonagh's shoulder into the wall!

I actually wish we had a healthy Wellwood and they would use Laughton. I would actually like to see a 4th line of Laughton-VL-Wellwood. |

The last story I read on Wellwood was not encouraging at all. It's a very sad situation. |

I thought for the most part, Rinaldo did his job this season. Could have drawn more penalties, but he was a spark plug at times when they needed it. The problem is one dimensional players like him don't translate well in a series like this. How many big hits has Rinaldo thrown? Not sure if it's the style of the series, his suspension or what, but if he's not a wrecking ball, then what is he adding? |

There have been zero big time checks thrown in this series and it's extremely depressing |

Vinny for Lupul? Lupul seems a little fragile, but I don't see how that's any different from Vinny, and he's a few years younger, so I'd probably pull the trigger on that deal. |

Not saying it would have changed anything but it should have happened when McDonaugh cross checked Giroux in game 1. Now at this stage in the series its probably too late. |

No one has paid the price for manhandling Giroux this series. You are telling me (and I don't mean you specifically) no one can get into a St Louis's face? Or mcdonut? Or zook-oh-rell-oh? |

No, they don't. He's a gamer, an overachiever if you will, perhaps even an underdog. The Flyers will give him every opportunity to succeed or fail despite his one dimensional pinball skill set.
Plus, he's a good guy. |

If they could pull that off, Homer should instantly win GMOTY. |
