Giroux missed several shots in a row on an empty net. And angry at himself, too

i liked it better when you were arrogant - TPC
I want to be because I think this team can do something this postseason. But if they can't finish the Flyers off tonight they are going to put themselves through another grueling seven game series. Every little advantage counts and that extra day of rest can do wonders for a team with hopes of making noise in the playoffs.
They need to show killer instinct and end this tonight. We all know the Flyers will come out tough but if the Rangers match their intensity they can get this done. |

Its amazing that a team with that much talent can put themselves in that position. The problem is, Jonathan Quick seems to be over whatever was bugging him, the Kings may not be as talented but know how to win, the fact that the game is in SJ doesn't faze LA one bit. Its just never over, you keep fighting, look at what Columbus almost pulled off, look at what Anaheim did the other night. This playoff year has been like no other I've seen where no lead is safe. The only team that seems to lock it down once in front is Boston. - Blueshirts4ever
Montreal did a good job of holding off the Lightning and making short work of them too.
The Kings looked like toast after that tough game three loss and falling in that almost impossible 0-3 hole. But they showed a lot of resolve and Quick has seemingly found his game.
I have to agree that this first round has been really interesting. Some good series, especially in the west, and the east was half competitive in that Pens-Jackets series alongside the Rangers-Flyers.
For my sanity and stomach, the Rangers better close out tonight. I can't deal with another one game for it all scenario. |

Colorado blew a shot last night, came back to tie, third goal was a poor play on boards by the forward, leading to a shot. SJ had a shot tied at 1 and so-so goal, cost them. Pitt almost blew a 4-0 lead. Nothing can be taken for granted in the playoffs, you have a shot to close out a series, do it on the first try, no messing around. |

Would love to see Nash use his body and dominate the Flyers zone like he can. Don't know why we haven't seen that this series so far. Marty has been the catalyst on that line, driving to the net, setting up great plays, Nash gets going, the line will be sick. Would be nice if he picks tonight to do it. |

Have those two been on the same line since Marty came in, and if so, how did Nash do down the stretch? Maybe there's a personality conflict?

No, Kreider was with Stepan and Nash. MSL was with Richards and Hagelin. When Kreider got hurt, AV loaded up that line and that's really when MSL started to play better. |

they moved around. marty started with richards and hagelin and that didnt workm the kreider got hurt
i think nash has been ok, he was good down the stretch, but nash has to be better than OK to make a serious run. and they seem ok together, i like the line itself, really starting to click but he needs to score. |

Nash goes through phases where he dominates for a couple weeks, then seems to disappear a bit. Not that I expect him to score and take over a game every night, but it seems sometimes the effort of driving to the net and using his body isn't there. The playoff stats for him are not that encouraging either. |

After watching Gill skate, I'd say that's the right call. |

I'd find it interesting if LA came back that Mike Richards will have been on two (half of all) NHL teams to pull it off. Although certainly now he is in a much less prominent role. However, I am rooting for the Sharks.

Other than he is bag skating on a daily basis, nada. He hasn't been seen stick handling with his now very likely bionic hand. Although sometimes these guys in the playoffs do that sort of thing on their own, out of the way of cameras, etc. Who knows??? |

I wish the beat guys would stop reporting on the fact that he is skating. I know thats their job but its a tease, maybe JT Miller takes advantage of this, finally! |

Thanks Jan & Bshirts4ever. Still would like to know exactly what happened to that hand. Its not like its a secret, and they are trying to protect him playing with a nagging injury. |
