Maybe maybe not but that wouldn't shock me. Am I the only one that realizes for NY sports there's always a good 1/3 chunk that are total douche bags? - mrhattrick27

Exactly my point. And I'll guarantee another thing, all those fights you see are caused by at least one moron. Doesn't make a fan base all scum, sorry. |

This might be the best post I have ever seen on this site.
I laugh when I see people get angry over a fight in the stands. Seriously? Are we pissed about people fighting over their teams? Go to Europe for ONE soccer match. It will totally change your perspective.
Roma vs Juventus sees the crowds separated by fences. Its wild.

Have to agree here. Not saying Flyers fans are saints, because I can vouch for that being patently untrue, but I have seen some unruly behavior from our own, the Islanders fan base, even Jersey.
Point is, something had to have happened for Flyers fans to pummel Rangers fans in the stands. As bad a reputation as Philadelphia sports fans have, and warranted, they aren't central American soccer fans. |

I read on Deadspin that one dumb Ranger fan was taunting all night and provoked it. Then fled when the fight started and allowed his friends to take the beating. Who knows if this is true or not. - TPC
I saw one video on youtube where you can hear a little kid yelling "KILL HIM". Great parenting. |

I don't think it can be said any better than the above.
The people fighting were dumb but don't represent the majority of fans from both teams. The idiot racist tweets about Simmonds last night were dumb but dont represent the majority.
When this series started i was amazed anyone was saying it would be 4 or 5 games in favor of the Rangers.. The teams were separated by two points and each do things better than the other.
I said at the start, game 7 at MSG with Hank in net , as much as I love my Flyers, the Rangers have the odds with that setup. From a Flyers fan perspective Giroux of the last 4 months has showed up vs injured Giroux from the start of the season and he is good enough, like Hank/Mason, to win games on his own. |

Over in South and Central America, soccer fans literally kill other fans, opposing team players and officials.
As mad as I am, about last night, I am not mad at what happened in the stands. Those Rangers fans likely had it coming to them. |

Not to mention on a slow night they just throw bags of urine, vomit and feces at players lining up for corner kicks. |

I was one of those arrogant fans that thought the Rangers would handle this series easily.
Guess that makes me one of those retarded fans, haha. |

Usually pretty positive about our chances, but just basing my thoughts on the game last night, I don't think it bodes well for the Rangers tonight. Looked like after the 1st they mailed it in till the last 4 minutes of the 3rd. Flyers are riding high right now. Want to be positive, but I'm already preparing myself for the worst. |

Attending a Premiere League match, or any other league based in South or Central America or any soccer league in Europe is not exactly high on my bucket list. |

Not at all Brandon, it was funny you trying to convince me I would be wrong in my Rangers in 7 prediction. It's all a crapshoot . And 1 game like last night has no bearing on tonight. I see a close, heart wrenching guts turning 1 goal Ranger win tonight. |

What was your logic for that, the idea that the Rangers Goal/D would beat the Flyers Offense/Special Teams?

Rangers defense containing the Flyer offense and Flyer goaltending failing them. |

Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
It's always the same sh!t with this team. Let's say you are right and they manage to eek by Philadelphia tonight; how does this bode well against Pittsburgh?
It doesn't. |

happy reading rangers fans about the brawl..Like i said we dont know who started it from the video, but as the article states it was started by the rangers fan:

Fights happen all the time. I dont have a problem with it. The one dude on there was such a coward though. Seriously, wait till the guy is on his back, then run over and start punching him in his face. Nothing to do with Philly, you see it happen a lot now in groups, that one pu$$y who runs over and thinks he is tough after someone is defenseless. |

That's the only logical expectation of a Rangers series win. If they somehow pull a series out it will go to the maximum amount of games.
It's iron f*cking clad. |

I will only say, let's just hope the Rangers can just win this game tonight, and then we can worry about the Pittsburgh series. If they win tonight, they are only one of 8 teams left. Will they beat Pittsburgh? I am not confident in that at all, but the best that we can do is watch, try to enjoy it, and hope for the best. |

Agree with everything you just typed.
