He's better than Raffl and Hartnell hands down - TonyBazz
Raffl maybe, Hartnell, not currently. Heatley has more offensive up-side than those two, but hasn't shown that since he left San Jose. I think he just needs the right place to play where he can be a scorer. |

Yeah, that's my issue too. Streit instantly takes on all of Kimmo's offensive responsibility and PP time, but I still don't know if I feel comfortable going through the season next year with the D as-is without Kimmo
I say we take one more crack at Shea!!!! lol. - Flyers_V88
Weber, for both financial and PR reasons, will be a Predator for at least another 5 years. I'd go after a guy like Carlson or Alzner from Washington. They're players that can actually be had for a package, and are very good, but not elite, players. |

I understand but they need to let him go. The philles kept doing that to their aging core. They have enough vetrans that kimmo can walk and others can take his places. - J35Bacher
1 year deal is fine. Obviously don't sign him for 10 years. |

Not here to rub it in; here to compliment your team on a tough series.
Mason was lights out last night. If the team improves their defense, heading into next season, they should be right there again.
Also, hats off to the majority of the fans here, for being good sports and making great conversation. Stay classy, Philly! |

Would anyone want to take a gamble on Gaborik on maybe 2 or 3 year deal? You guys throw Heatley out there but I think Gaborik could be a good risk to take to play with G and Voracek - J35Bacher
Might as well just get Zherdev back if we're going after Gaborik or Heatley. |

Just to make things clear, Winnipeg wouldn't trade Trouba alone for Schenn, Schenn and Hartnell. - PhillySportsGuy
ok then schenn and schenn for bogo |

He's a RW like Voracek.
I would inquire about him, but I think money should be spent on a defenseman. |

They may do that, but that's a lot from a Flyers perspective. Bogo isn't some slam dunk, top pairing guy. He could turn out to be like Luke Schenn with a little more mobility. |

I would be good with either of those guys too. Could look to take a risk on Del Zotto if he doesn't get a QO from Nashville as third pairing guy. What about Meyers from Buffalo. Has been down but could use a change and has a resonable contract. |

Maybe. But that's making a move to make a move. Bogo had been trending downward on a team that actually has a fairly strong defense. B. Schenn could probably being a better return, at least in NHL 14 land. |

I'd love to have him for ONE year. He's too inconsistent and will command too much money. Also he was torn apart by Torterella for his laziness in the defensive zone. What do you think Berube would do to him? He'd probably put him on the fourth line with Vinny. |

Those are guys that may interest the Flyers. I'm curious to see what happens with Del Zotto. He could be a nice reclamation project. |

Hartnell is the most berated consistent 20-goal scorer (2-time 30-goal scorer) I've ever seen. People act like the guy is a 50-year-old Andreas Nodl. - jmatchett383
All true, but he was absolutely BRUTAL in this series. His job is to win battles along the wall and go to the net.
All I saw from him is losing a board battle because he went for a hit and just ignored the damn puck, over and over. And by the time he gets his bearings the play has already left the area and he is chasing back. It happened over and over again. And it happened during the regular season.
If they can deal Hartnell for a good deal I would deal him. Same with VLC. As for Vinny, if it turns out he was hurt and it really affected his play I think I am willing to give him one more year to prove he can play, but I wouldn't lose any sleep if they dealt him as well.
They need a sniper, and a good two way top 4 d-man. I know everyone wants that bonified #1 guy, but I don't think we have the chips to acquire one. Nor do I want them to gut the system again for a quick fix.
If Baby Schenn has to go to get what we need so be it.

I think Buffalo is going to hold onto Myers since he's young but a veteran, and he's the kind of player they could build their defense around. But they could possibly get him in a slight overpayment. |

1. Kimmo should stay, he's a leader and an inspiration to his teammates and hes still a top 4 D-Man.
2. Coburn is over valued imo, and not a top pair D man. Just not consistent enough for a top pair and I think he can help get us a top line winger to play with G.
3. Going to have to send a lot of assets away to get a top pair D-Man but we have the assets.
4. Hartnel not going anywhere but shouldnt even be close to 1st line.
5. Hall played really well this year not sure how anyone wouldnt want him on the 4th line.
6. Vinny was our best forward until he got hurt. I expect him to play well as 2nd line C next year. - nin9999
1. I'd love if Kimmo could/would come back for one more year
2. Defensively, Coburn is a fine top pairing defenseman. A rock for them all season long.
3. They have the assets, but what's the cost? It's a huge need, but you can't gut the team for an overpriced top pairing defenseman either.
4. Hartnell played like garbage in the playoffs, but is still a good possession player who complements the top line well. When healthy, he still fits there.
5. Agreed
6. Completely disagree |

Unless they changed it, it goes 1-14 (or, 1-13 this year) based on teams not making the playoff in inverse points order. Then, it goes to first-round losers in inverse points order for 15-22 (or, 14-21). Like I said, if they changed it this year, that's different. But if it were based on first elimiated, TB would pick before Dallas or Columbus, as they were the first one out. |

I just don't want kimmo back. I like him. I know he is a warrior but I think the time to move on is now and start to change the dynamic on the back end a little.
Same with hartnell. I know he is a good player but I just don't think he fits the team moving forward. |
