No idea... Holland's made some head scratching moves the past couple of years. Apparently they're going to CBO Tootoo instead of Weiss or Franzen, like the fans want. I think they let Legwand go... he's really not their type of player.

Woof...I'm not saying fans are right or wrong, but if you're gonna burn a CBO, and it's not Weiss or Franzen...well, let's just say that's not how I'd do it, but I'm just a guy on a laptop

Holland was saying that the main rationale was to get Tootoo back to the NHL, where he belongs.

I think the other part might be Mr. Little Caesars not being as comfortable with paying players huge sums to go away as Mr. Comcast is. Red Wings supposedly lost a lot of money the past few seasons.

Huh. Interesting.

What NHL is it where Jordin Tootoo need to be playing?

The one where Zac Rinaldo and Jay Rosehill can find employment?

He's way overpaid @ $1.9M, but I'd take him on our 4th-line over the above mentioned plugs all day long at a comparable rate. Guy is all heart, and he can actually play hockey.

Yeah Pronger makes it a problem, but isn't there an allowance of a certain percentage? The flyers were up against the cap this offseason and still managed to get it done.
- FlyersSteve118

They can go over by 10% but they have to be under the cap when the season starts. In order for Philly to do that they have to be able to have Pronger on the Roster counting against the cap and be under on the 1st day where they would proceed in putting him on LTIR. Philly had to send someone down at the beginning of the year to do this.

Fabbri with another, this time he stole the puck, passed to a teammate, then gets a pass back and goes short side

Reading up a bit on Nick Ritchie. Looks like a beast. 6'3" 235 LW with hands. Haven't seen a pro comparison but a guy like that paired with G and Jake could be a brutal line to defend against.

He will go top 10. No way he falls and if I was going to trade up it wouldnt be for him.

Edit: But yes he is a beast

i now can't find anything about it, so maybe he didn't end up getting suspended for it? his hearing aid got knocked out onto the ice in a scrum or a fight. a ref was getting pissed that downie was trying to get out of the penalty box to get it and there was some hullabaloo surrounding the incident.

A 4th line of Raffl-Laughton-Rinaldo is pretty good, No?

Might as well trade Rinaldo and get a guy with more skill and make that a scoring line.

Hmm, I was thinking he could be late top 10 and maybe we could move up for him if the cost isn't too high. Just spitballin' here.

See but if your going for plausibility and accuracy you should probably keep Rinaldo in there. Much to our chagrin, I believe the organization values his skill set and wants to keep him in the lineup

I would love to trade Lecavier and Hartnell to free up space on the second line. Problem is they're stuck here.

There are definitely teams that will consider him in the top 10 and could easily pick him. Maybe Vancouver because of the toughness and physicality will take him at 6. I could see Toronto taking him too.

Check out Brendan Perlini. He will probably go from 8-12.

Im not sure what the cost would be to move up but I would consider it. If its not absurd id do it. I dont really have an idea what it would cost to move up around 7 picks in this week draft. What do you think?

Still doubtful. Are plans on replacing Coburn? Also you have Vanek making like 7 million right?
