I think Carlyle will get an opportunity with the Leafs next season, on a very short leash. Wouldn't surprise me if he gets canned after 4 losses (or whatever it was) like Laviolette was.

Not buying the Babock fairy tale stuff.. So if the Leafs miraculously turned it around and made the playoffs and for argument sake won a round next year then they fire Carlyle just cause Babcock is available? So management wants him to fail? I don't buy any of that. I think they will keep Carlyle because in their eyes no one jumps out at them as a better coach. What a mess

It was either Cox or Simmons (yes, I know...I'm dumb for even relaying it) that seem to think he's gonna make his move on the Leafs as he did with the Soccer Team and DeFoe. They Spez-Culated that Stamkos would be thrown the moon in terms of money to get him to come here. As for Weber, it's not my job to work him into the cap, somebody else can do it.

First and foremost Greg Brady is a moron and is not an insider in any way shape or form. The only reason Babcock's name was brought up is because he was a guest on the fan morning show......

Second, to get Babcock the Leafs would need to wildly overpay him, so much so that it would be an absurd contract.

Third, Carlyle is gone before the draft. Pay no attention to these msm fools, they get it wrong most of the time. Just look at the raw data and it will show this team has floundered under RC.
