If the plan is to keep RC for a year and wait for Babcock, might as well tank the season and go for first overall. No way the players will play hard for a coach that won't be there in a year, they have a hard enough time playing for him now, will end up with the same middle of the road results.

I agree, although with the above players we draft 8th overall and could have been top 5 had we not played over our heads earlier.

It depends on what management decides this summer. They many decide to move significant pieces to play some kids, or minor tweaking to add to what we have.

Not sure how you change the 'culture' of this team if you leave the same coach and same core and just add a vet defensive minded defenseman. It will be an interesting summer (maybe).
