Sorry but I think he may be the dirtiest player in the league and anything bad that happens to him is just karma.
What makes it worse is that he's a very talented player and there is no reason he has to play like such a dbag! - BiggE
not gonna disagree with you there. he fancies himself some honcho. in reality it just makes him a little wiener. |

He's always been a great goal scorer. He was putting up good numbers with JT. I like Vanek, but I would rather spend that money on Niskanen as he fills a HUGE need. Vanek fills a small need. |

definitely. i just meant in general. vanek struck me as someone that wouldnt go to the front of the net against a team like boston in the postseason. he hasnt been a sniper per say at all so far in this series, but he is earning those powerplay deflection goals. |

You know the sad part?
In combing through the rosters/reserve lists of other teams, if I felt that Vanek's or Moulson's skating would hold up, I would actually want the Flyers to be in on either of them. I don't think their skating will, but that's about where I am with it.
Finding a Top 6 LW to do what we need, who might be available on a team that would trade with the Flyers...damn. It's just difficult.
So many teams, barely enough talent to go around. If you don't have it in your system...it's just not easy to identify where you're going to get it. |

Yeah. He's a natural goal scorer. He gets himself into a good position and the puck seems to find him a lot. He doesn't have a bad shot either.
He's bigger than you think. Just about the same size as Hartnell. |

i realize his size. but a lot of guys dont really use their size to their full advantage. im not going to say who, because i will most certainly invoke some sort of reverse curse on tonights game.
he has a pretty good shot for sure. he always had his fair share of snipers goals in buffalo. but right now, he seems hesitant to get it off. whenever hes gotten it in prime zones, he seems to delay just a half second too much and its broken up. but hes making up for it with his nose for the net. the habs PP is nice right now. very simple, but using their best players in positions to best utilize their ability. spread it out wide, PK up top and just blast away, vanek in front looking for tips. |
