Little luck but I'll take it. Not pretty but its a win.
I thing they will have to be better on Wednesday. Gotta think the Rags will come out with a better effort.
MAF B2B shutouts? Who'd have thunk it.
Sid scored a goal? Who'd have thunk that.
Scuderi struggles? We all thought that. |

MAF's the man. Dan should get all over these crap refs. Joke attempt to get the Rags a goal. - madmike71

He was anything but bottom pair in 2009. Letang and Eaton were the bottom pair. He was actually the shutdown pair with Gill. - 87_71_11_29
In the playoffs, yes. Regular season he was back and forth. |

The refs are handing us this series by continuing to put the Rags on the power play. It's ok guys Bettman paid the refs off to help us like that. |

Wonder what the Rags fans next conspiracy theory will be? The NHL is trying to hand the Pens the series because the Rags are getting to many power plays?
On a side not Gaborik just scored for LA. |

Am i the only one concerned that the Pens just sat back and let the Rags take it to them in the 3rd? On any other night, that could
cost us. |

I've given MAF props 2 days in a row....
When\If Brooks comes back I want Scuds cleaning the urinals in the opposing teams locker rooms. |

No, it concerned me as well. We are going to have to apply more offesnive pressure and possess the puck more to win the next game. |

Also Rags fans.....They outplayed the Pens on a back to back, so the scheduling b!tch can go out the window. Also the refs are calling SO much on the Pens, so your crooked ref argument is also null and void. And MAF is outplaying Hank. |

Kinda hard to use him as an excuse in the last two eh? Its becoming more and more apparent that this year's version of MAF is nothing like the previous two years. His play is much closer to when we won playoff series' in 08 and 09. |

They sat back and played smart, lead-protecting hockey, giving up I think ZERO odd man breaks the entire game, and keeping everything on the perimeter while blocking 17 shots.
Isn't that what most fans wanted to see? No more Globetrotter hockey, but defensively responsible hockey with counterpunching propped up by some of the best talent in the game?
Rangers only managed 8 shots in the 3rd period in a game that they trailed, including only 2 shots over the last 5 minutes. |

Well played game. Again, some things could be maximized but the overall effort was outstanding. Fleury looked very good again. - HopintheCordoba
Was really pleased with the suffocating D. These type of games aren't pretty, but unfortunately it's the modern day NHL playoffs. |

To be fair he's made a lot of changes from his MO and they all seemed to work so far so it looks good. Lose a couple games in a row and he'll be stupid again. The life of a coach.
He's done a lot of good things to this point though so he deserves some credit. He's got this team playing at the next level when very few thought he could.
Rangers had lots of chances tonight though, this series is by no means over. If we win the next one though, that'll be an uphill battle for them. |

I think we should be happy with the defensive game... They supported each other including Fleury... Most open men were taken out of the play with stick work or good body position. I would much rather the pens play this type of game after going up. In tired of the Malkin and company line getting caught behind the play and odd man rush the other way. Great game pens |

Half the Rangers board has declared they are done, the other half seems simply incredulous that MAF could shut them out 2 games in a row. |
