That was the most frustrating game in NYR history last night. Bar none.
That was it. Other than that, I am speechless. - jimbo83
That was the game the Rangers had to take. You can't dominate a game like that and lose. Just can't do it |

I really hope it is just fatigue with Stepan, cause he looks as bad as he did to start the season right now
Nash no goals, MSL no goals since game 3 vs Flyers, Stepan no goals since game 1 vs Flyers I believe, McDonagh no points in the playoffs
Not good enough |

He couldn't have played a more passive game, he's not strong enough for playoff hockey, I'd like to see him train like MSL and Richards do during the offseason, he's gonna turn out looking like his father sooner than later, his work ethic sucks |

Stepan looks spent. I just don't understand the lack of intensity with Nash. He is soft. Lets cut to the chase, for a big man, he is on the ice way too much. MSL stays on his feet more and he is 5 foot nothing.
That being said, if the hockey gods have any semblance of justice, the Rangers get dominated, Hank stands on his head and the Rangers steal a 2-1 decision tomorrow night. |

Alex Burrows ruined McDonagh post-season. First game against Vancouver next season and he is engaged with another player, perhaps someone should finish a hard check on him. I bet Tortorella even, in private moment to himself wanted to ring his neck bc Torts loves Mac. |

definitely fatigued about hearing about how fatigued they are. They outshot Pitt 35-15 last night, not sure how an over tired team does that.
They are caught in another one of those ruts that plagued them all season long, sometimes even against backup goalies, they just can't finish.
This didn't start the last two games, it's been going on all year long. This just happened to be the most frustrating game in NYR history.
Obviously tomorrow's game is a must win, we'll see if this group has any semblance of having some balls. |

The Pittsburgh media, that same media group that nominated Matt Cooke for the Masterton Trophy is screaming about Staal's shots taken against Crosby. Carp pointed out this is a team that lauds guys like Orpik (Mr. Knee on Knee himself), Geno (Slash) Malkin, Bortuzzo, Chris Kunitz and James Neal calling out Staal and one guys even drawing a comparison to "Graves-gate"
Yes, Staal should have been penalized, but take it easy with the suspension talk. Its exactly what Torts' point was, except he had the stones to call them out in public and what does the league do? Fine him
Game 5 is Pittsburgh media pom pom night at the CEC. |

right now I feel like the overtime winner friday night was the last two goals they will score in franchise history
Of course they score twice on one play and will never score again, I should have seen that coming |

Hoping to here some positive news on Kreider today. I am guessing he will be the only one skating today |

Man, you are pretty delusional bud. However, humorous nicknames, they aren't an actual defense to what happened, and doesn't change the fact that two blatant cheap shots were taken, that would likely merit a suspension during the regular season. But its the postseason, so who the hell knows what will happen, the NHL is never close to consistent. |

Got to see a nice highlight reel of some of the cheap stick shots to the head of Crosby last night by Staal.

You'd think of all the players in the NHL right now, Staal would be one of the few that would understand why you can't do that and yet; there he was showing little regard for the health of another player, another player who like him, has had severe head injury issues in the past.
So much for me ever feeling bad about Staal's head injury and right now, I'm just sad it didn't end his career then, because he clearly doesn't deserve to be playing the game now. Here's also hoping someone throws a toilet at him from the upper deck and it clips Adam Graves in the stands on it's way to it's target taking out two dirty Rags at once.

Frustrating indeed. But hey, this is why its a best of 7 and not best of 3. Just takes that first goal. It will happen. Just got to hope it happens in the first period on Wednesday night. |

Just curious to how a person's fan affiliation changes the facts or what happened? That is a very common point to throw from numerous people on this site, and its utterly stupid.
I'll wait, explain how his being a Pens and NJ fan changes that it was a cheap shot. |

I am a life long pens fan and I am sick of hearing about the Staal cheap shots. It wasn't that bad, it didn't phase Sid, Sid burnt Staal to a crisp then sniped one passed the most over rated goalie to ever lace them up. 2 minute penalty was in order, but I'm not lynching Staal over it. |

Go suck another one troll! - cranford93
Yep, you guys got me. Obviously a troll, not pointing out the utter stupidity that is your whiny, pathetic rantings and ravings over the game and a player being called out on headshots. But, I'll just use the "Rangers fan" logic, and call you all trolls and point out you have trolls too. There, now I can wash my hands clean of any responsibility, because I believe I am right and you are in fact the trolls.
Yeah, logic sucks when you can't use it eh sport? |

Really Guy? If Crosby and the Pens want to keep "accidently" running into Hank (who is our best player in case you haven't noticed) like they did in game two, more of that stuff is coming his way. Tit for tat. Our best player, your best player. Stop crying
