You know, he didn't just tough it out. The same guy who played a game on the same day he got Chemo............ - cap1681
ehh.. the chemo thing i give him a lot of credit for |

That was impressive coming back from Cancer. Makes the whole wrist thing even more believable that he was faking.

he's the one that always complained about clutching and grabbing back then. The NHL changed the rules because of his whining. Great player but bigger wussy - DONMURDOCH14
No doubt he was a great player; one of the greatest to ever play in the NHL. It doesn't diminish how much of a piss pants whiner he was throughout his career. |

One has nothing to do with the other, good move, or typical playing the cancer card.
The issue is whether his wrist was really broken. Broken wrist=maximum penalty to Graves. Not saying he wasn't hurt enough to miss the rest of the series but to heal just a week later?? come on...
Edit...heal a little strong but to play through it or the medical staff allowing him to play with a broken wrist?? too much to take seriously |

Nobody is doubting he was hurt, you can severely bruise your wrist and miss time, but do you think Graves would have been suspended four games if the diagnosis was a minor wrist injury? |

historically there is no team in NHL history who defends when their players are dirty and whines when something is done to them more than the Pittsburgh Penguins. Its not even debatable |

He actually missed four but miraculously returned to lead the league in playoff scoring.
Maybe he didn't sell it but just has brittle bones. Regardless, what Graves did was not a suspendable play. Slashes like that happen often; he caught Lemieux's wrist in a vulnerable spot. |

I don't think it was his wrist. He had a broken bone in his hand. Big difference. |

So, you admit it. 3 games for a broken wrist? Really |

Yep, that sense of entitlement that the league has given to their fairweather fan base. |

Speaking of bones that heal at "true" pace, it would not shock me if Kreider is back tomorrow night, he's no longer restricted from taking hard shot which he was in the video they showed on the post game |

Its funny how different media outlets reported a wrist injury and some a hand injury, someone in their PR department got their memos mixed up. Broken bones in hands are even more difficult to return from. Just ask Kreider, although I know no two broken hands are ever the same, some actually show a broken bone in the x-ray, some don't. |

Hope Nash is scratched and Kreider comes back.
Words can't express how sick I am of seeing Nash out there continue to do absolutely nothing. |

We are all baffled by Nash, but you know and we all know he isn't getting scratched. |

Mario played through pain his entire career, so it's not surprising. If he doesn't have the serious back issues he had, he probably threatens Gretzky's records. People would talk about how he had to have someone tie his skates, because his back was so bad. Then he would go out and put up 4 or 5 points in a game. |

That's a completely different monster. To watch a once proud franchise spend 20 years losing because the owners don't want to spend any money, and then build a team through mostly homegrown talent become successful was something to see. |

Not one person is denying his greatness on the ice. But pardon many non-Penguin fans, league-wide, that aren't totally buying how Lemieux always played in pain. |

Too bad the Fems can't say the same happened for them. |
