For sure but the Rangers are the remedy for most struggling or no name goaltenders.
Their power play was close last night but still nothing to show for it. They badly outshot Pittsburgh but were still too passive and made some unforgivable mistakes with the puck.
That Zuccarello-Richards disgrace of an exchange, which directly led to Jokinen's goal, truly made me sick. - MidnightMarauder
Yeah that was bad but it happens. Penguins look good and were playing a great puck possession game for most of the night. Keeping most of your shots to outside the dots. You guys had some quality chances but Fleury was there. I just think he's easily rattled. Guessing AV will have the team crashing and banging in his crease. Taking perimeter shots and hoping for a rebound isn't going to cut it with the Pens as a whole playing defense the way they have been. |

zucc has to know the clock there, puck needs to go deep with <10 seconds left on the PP.
I'm actually confident going into tomorrow. Anxious to see the line up AV puts out. |

A couple years less than Richards. |

Kreider evidently was taking slapshots yesterday, not sure what difference he would make but it would sure add a fresh pair of legs and additional physical presence. |

Right now, the fanbase thinks he is dog crap. If the series continues on its current trajectory, and he doesn't do much, he is going to get skewered this summer. But, as bad as it is, he can still change perception if he starts producing.
At the end of the day, I think Rick Nash has elite level talent. The reason why he isn't an elite player, however, is because he has absolutely no constistency to his game. He can go on torrid tears, and then go through stretches where he does nothing. Also, he is a big guy that has absolutely no anger to his game. |

When your GM's main purpose is to stay at the floor it's never a concern. We could take on Nash and Richards and still have plenty of room to sign Callahan in the offseason. |

Unfortunately, the Rangers don't have many players that crash the net.
They are a small perimeter team that, when going good, move the puck nicely and are able to finesse their way into scoring goals.
They rarely score power type goals or off of goalmouth scrambles. The Rangers aren't a bad team but they are pretty soft and have nobody that wants to bull their way to the net and score dirty goals. |

I am cautiously confident. I don't think this series is over, not even close, but the Rangers need to come back to Pittsburgh Friday with the series tied. |

I agree. Tomorrow night is a must win or the series is over |

Yes sir, Rangers acquired him when he had seven years remaining on his deal.
Two years in the books, including two historically awful playoff performances, almost complete. |

You think buying out Richards is a done deal in the offseason? Do you think they would shop Nash as well in the offseason? |

comparing a team playing in the heart of NYC to a team in Pitt s not fair. Rangers could take last place for the next decade and still would make money. |

I think its something AV doesn't want, but for business reasons they have to do it. Shopping Nash, the Rangers gave up a lot for him, I can't see the Rangers looking to trade him if they are going to buy out Richards. For one, what the heck are you going to back for him at this point? |
