Rangers better bury at least three goals tomorrow. Give Hank a little bit of goal support. He's working with such a little margin for error; he needs his teammates to wake up and start doing their jobs.

Game 2's loss was well deserved last night came down to one lapse in defensive coverage(Crosby's goal), one brain dead decision by Zuccarello(Jokinen's goal), three solidly hit goal posts behind Fleury, a futile power play and a confident Pittsburgh goaltender.

The Rangers generated enough chances to score more than a few but it just didn't happen.

Completely agree. I think we will smash them game 4... just need to score goals to go with the hits.

Emotions at the moment get the best of us but there isn't one fan from those rants that hasn't picked themselves up and would love to stick it to every one of you

Far less "the sky is falling" in the Pens thread after Game 1 than there has been around these parts the last 18 hours. And I'm sure every Rangers fan wants to stick it to the Penguins. Noone is actively rooting against their team, they just have no faith in them. Just like I'm sure there were plenty of Kings fans running to hop back on the bandwagon after game 5 against the Sharks.

Just wanted to pop in and say that Fleury is not that good. He really isn't. We're just making him look average(good-ish), right? Frustrating.

I'm not sure he was being cocky, just living in the past. Which is fine because Fleury was a lot better back then. Not so much now, but he was pretty good once. If he was as good now, Rangers would be in an even bigger hole!

And are you really talking as if the Rangers don't have any advantages? None? A bottomless pit of cash to spend isn't helpful? All the money in the world, landing every free agent they set their sights on and where has it gotten them? Nowhere in 20 years, and a playoff drought that was downright laughable and finally ended once they were forced to try and be somewhat smart with their money.

IMO, I think it is pretty simple when it comes to Fleury. I think when he is on his game, he is very good if not excellent. When he's not on his game, he can be somewhat of a dumpster fire. When the Pens beat the Red Wings in the Cup final Fleury was very good. He wasn't just an average goaltender who won the Cup as a passenger to an elite team, he was a big part of why they one. Since the Cup year, he has obviously had his issues, but he can be a very capable goaltender at times.
