Rangers explode for 5 tomorrow night, book it, since their Cup who's played more playoff hockey and who's gonna be ready? - HankdaTank
Rangers better bury at least three goals tomorrow. Give Hank a little bit of goal support. He's working with such a little margin for error; he needs his teammates to wake up and start doing their jobs. |

Game 2's loss was well deserved last night came down to one lapse in defensive coverage(Crosby's goal), one brain dead decision by Zuccarello(Jokinen's goal), three solidly hit goal posts behind Fleury, a futile power play and a confident Pittsburgh goaltender.
The Rangers generated enough chances to score more than a few but it just didn't happen. - MidnightMarauder
Completely agree. I think we will smash them game 4... just need to score goals to go with the hits. |

Emotions at the moment get the best of us but there isn't one fan from those rants that hasn't picked themselves up and would love to stick it to every one of you
You should also check out the sentiments of a lot of Pens fans after game 1 - HankdaTank
Far less "the sky is falling" in the Pens thread after Game 1 than there has been around these parts the last 18 hours. And I'm sure every Rangers fan wants to stick it to the Penguins. Noone is actively rooting against their team, they just have no faith in them. Just like I'm sure there were plenty of Kings fans running to hop back on the bandwagon after game 5 against the Sharks. |

Just wanted to pop in and say that Fleury is not that good. He really isn't. We're just making him look average(good-ish), right? Frustrating. - Iamnumber27
You're totally right. Lots of not that good goalies win gold medals and Stanley Cups. |

Exactly, it's the team in front of him doing the work. Glad a pens fan can agree. |

You haven't checked out this board all year then. It was like this after almost every loss this year. Its how we roll. No bandwagon fans here, just lot of schizophrenia. Really high, and really low.
Or maybe its manic depressive |

Let's not get too cocky over Fleury's gold as a 3rd string goalie. And yes mediocre goalies win cups. Crawford, Niemi, Osgood, Vernon, Barrasso. |

You have no idea what it is to be a fan of this team and the misery we've been through but we've stuck through it so don't try and define us when you have no clue, I would love to have been born twice with a silver spoon let alone once |

Not a lot of goalies with the number he's put up since the Pens won the Cup either
But tell us more about the practices he had with Team Canada, they're riveting |

I'm not sure he was being cocky, just living in the past. Which is fine because Fleury was a lot better back then. Not so much now, but he was pretty good once. If he was as good now, Rangers would be in an even bigger hole! |

Born 2 twice with a silver spoon? So much wrong with that sentence. The English language wins again, by KO. Only team born twice is the Jets, btw.
And are you really talking as if the Rangers don't have any advantages? None? A bottomless pit of cash to spend isn't helpful? All the money in the world, landing every free agent they set their sights on and where has it gotten them? Nowhere in 20 years, and a playoff drought that was downright laughable and finally ended once they were forced to try and be somewhat smart with their money. |

Yep, easy to talk sh!t and back off claiming innocence because we are all in foul moods over here. - MidnightMarauder
The majority of us Pens fans are talking hockey and avoiding the bs. Anyone looking through this board can see that you guys are pissed. I made a comment on the Pens board that after Sid scored yesterday, you guys went nutty. That is fact.
There is zero reason any of us can't talk hockey, even on opposite boards. If you took five people from the Pens board and five from the Rangers and stuck us in a saloon, I'm pretty sure we'd walk out at 0300 laughing. |

IMO, I think it is pretty simple when it comes to Fleury. I think when he is on his game, he is very good if not excellent. When he's not on his game, he can be somewhat of a dumpster fire. When the Pens beat the Red Wings in the Cup final Fleury was very good. He wasn't just an average goaltender who won the Cup as a passenger to an elite team, he was a big part of why they one. Since the Cup year, he has obviously had his issues, but he can be a very capable goaltender at times. |

Especially if we were all wearing spurs, leather chaps, and carrying six shooters as all saloon goers are required to have. |

I know, but he's crapping on Fleury for not having won a cup since he last won a cup. Think about that. Seriously weak argument. Of all the ways to knock fleury, that is probably the worst. |

If that's the point and you need to translate, my English 2, Hank 0 point is valid. It's a really easy point to get across. He's been awful the last 3 playoffs. Ta-da. |
