The majority of us Pens fans are talking hockey and avoiding the bs. Anyone looking through this board can see that you guys are pissed. I made a comment on the Pens board that after Sid scored yesterday, you guys went nutty. That is fact.

There is zero reason any of us can't talk hockey, even on opposite boards. If you took five people from the Pens board and five from the Rangers and stuck us in a saloon, I'm pretty sure we'd walk out at 0300 laughing.

You guys set the fire, Flyers fan were more Civil even before an elimination game

If that's the point, my English 2, Hank 0 point is valid. It's a really easy point to get across. He's been awful the last 3 playoffs. Ta-da.
- schiefer466

I would say the last four postseasons Fleury has fallen apart.

He was pretty mediocre to awful against the Canadiens in 2010 as well.

True. I fault him more for that and even more so 2013 than i do 2011 or 2012. 2011 no Sid or Malkin, awful defense. 2012 the entire team was a dumpster fire in front of him.

Hey, fans are obviously emotional and sometimes you just blurt out (type out) stuff quickly before you lose what you were trying to say or before you forget the point you're trying to get across... and ya make a mistake/typo. We all do it. Well, not me because I'm awesome.

Just wanted to pop in and say that Fleury is not that good. He really isn't. We're just making him look average(good-ish), right? Frustrating.
- Iamnumber27

youre right. 2 shutouts in 2 nights is just a fluke.

i understand that hes not perfect, but jesus you guys are acting like he is an AHLer.

at the end of the day, he's been able to win 16 games in the playoffs... how many has Henrik won?

2012 the team ran the Chinese Fire Drill defense in front of Fleury.

Obviously never won 16 in one postseason and obviously never had the goal support Fleury has customarily had since 2006-2007.

Didn't say it was a fluke? Just saying he isn't that good - or hasn't been back-to-back shutout good since a long time ago. That and the Rangers shots make him look pretty good. Yeah, he's doing ok, nothing flukey though. I don't know Hanks stats but I know he has been fairly consistent year to year... not fleury consistent Don't take it personal and don't twist things around either.

It kinda is a fluke. Yes he's been better the last few games. But let's not forget that before Sunday his last playoff shutout was game 1 against the isles last year. What happened after that? He was benched 3 games later. He needs to keep playing good for awhile before anyone has confidence in him. I think I can speak for most Pens fans when I say I'm happy he's done what he has the last few games but there's still always a looking sense of when does he collapse. Feels like it could happen at any moment.

But why no goal support? What with guys like Drury, Gomez, Richards, Nash, Gaborik, surely they should be scoring dozens of goals every night. Plus with Wade Redden on the blue line. God, how does Sather still have a job?

I actually think Fleury is a decent number 1 goalie. Game 2 I thought he was great. I give more credit to your team D right now(which I thought was going to give us a very clear advantage), and the Rangers lack of finish last night.

The save he made on Zuccarello at the end of the 1st period was six bells. That shot goes in we may have had a totally different result.

The empty can makes the most noise.

Fleury and Lundqvist are both exceptional goalies, despite the lack of team defense in front of Fleury for the past three playoffs, and the lack of a Stanley Cup ring on Lundqvist's finger.

To posit that Fleury is a bad goalie is simply ludicrous. He's not a bad goalie at all. He's been guilty of abandoning basic goaltending principles in a vain effort to make up for poor defense being played in front of him for the past three seasons straight, but that doesn't make him a 'bad goalie'.

Either goalie in this series is capable of stellar performance. Fleury's had two in a row. Lundqvist has four more chances to make it his turn. Meanwhile, two groups of players will attempt to make that difficult for either one. And in that department, with the Penguins third and fourth lines playing what you could call not-terrible, the edge probably goes to the Penguins.

Series isn't over yet. No point in anyone getting too excited or anyone crying in their beer.

youre right, should have made myself clearer. not trying to suggest that he should get a shutout every night, but at the end of the day, he is much better than what you guys give him credit for.

i also think you guys underrate your team's offense. no doubt your PP is a joke. but you guys still have some great scoring options like nash and st. louis even if they arent scoring now.

MAF is as good as his team's defense is in front of him. if you leave him out to dry like we did again and again in 2012, you will get those results.

Especially if we were all wearing spurs, leather chaps, and carrying six shooters as all saloon goers are required to have.
- Pete V

Haha, sorry. The bar down the street has saloon in the name. And I am in Tennessee! But i would recommend a semi-auto instead of the six piece since, well you have more shots.

Edit: There's a joke to be made in that last sentence

The Drury and Gomez double signings, in 2007, was an unmitigated disaster until Sather spun Gomez into Ryan McDonagh.

Gaborik scored 40+ goals twice while here; despite never playing with a legitmate #1 center.

Nash, despite his best postseason Casper impression, has been a pretty effective goal scorer during both regular seasons here.

Richards was coming off of back to back point per game seasons in Dallas before he signed in NY.

Wade Redden was simply put the worst signing in the modern era for any team.

Sather has had a very checkered free agent signing history here but overall has made some really good trades as well.

Stop it. If you came by here regularly you would see MOSTLY real good, knowledgeable hockey fans. This is the playoffs & your team has just stuffed us 2 nights in a row, people are a little rattled.

I see your Wade Redden, and raise you Cristobal Huet

We couldnt even find a spot for him in North America, we had to bury him in Europe while under full contract

There's good & bad apples in every bunch, right? Been busy all day, I take it there was a troll fest at some point? I don't have neither the time, nor the inclination to go & back check for the tomfoolery.
