Came up from Florida in 07, our son was about to start school and he wasn't doing that down there. First 8 years were spent in Pittsburgh, had to leave when the economy went down hill. It was something like 25 percent of Pittsburgh left around that time too. Crazy!

I never understood the whole "fixing" argument. You would think if the NHL wanted to fix things, they would do it where they can make the most money. They would put all the biggest stars in the biggest markets, and the 2 of the Rangers, Flyers, Blackhawks and Kings would be in the Finals every year.

Edit: Hell, Toronto would have won a Cup by now.

Win or lose those teams still bring in revenue. Well, maybe not the Kings if they are losing but the others definitely. Pittsburgh was on the verge of moving or folding and if we know anything about Bettman it's that he'll do whatever he can to keep a franchise in its original locale. That's his primary mission. And with Pittsburgh bringing in tons of revenue now, in large part because of Crosby's play and the jerseys people buy, etc., the league is healthier overall as a result.

I'm not saying I believe in the conspiracy theory but there was plenty of motivation for Bettman to place Crosby in Pittsburgh if he in fact "fixed" the "lottery."

Man if Montreal knocks out Boston, we needa get past Pittsburgh. Though Montreal is scary as (frank).

No offense whatsoever, but my entertainment is hockey. I wish the Pens went to triple overtime every game, every series. The last time I watched wrestling was at FSU in 99, the bar gave a drink away everytime you got a match right. They also gave a drink everytime that kid from Southpark died too!!!
