so, did the rule against perpetuities come into play or not? - wilsonecho91
Look, I told you. We're an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We take it in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the week. But all the decision of that officer have to be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting-- By a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs,-- But by a two-thirds majority in the case of more major-- |

well, there were two instances of estate problems to be analyzed. i thought the future interests were both subject to it, but it only actually struck the clause in the first one due to the fact that the second instance was between charities and they are typically exempt. - stayinthefnnet
what a complete waste. no one in the real world uses that kind of crap anymore. anyway, hope it went well. |

haha. oh back at that huh? i mean i love bantering back and forth about most anything to do with hockey, but jesus. it becomes more about the merits of ideologies than it does player performance by the time you guys are done with it. - stayinthefnnet
i really stay out of it for the most part. it just sucks the joy out of the thing i love most on this earth. |

oh yeah. my teacher told us as such. said to learn it anyway.
it was just crazy. the one thing i will tip my cap to law school professors on is the maddening way in which they can cram nearly every facet of every aspect of law you have learned into one semi-coherent and plausible fact pattern.
my first one began with justin beiber being deported. |

Brian "Punching Bag" Boyle is slowly becoming one of my least favorite current players.
At least Carcillo and Dorsett weren't in. Their dives were an embarrassment. - jmatchett383
i swear to gd, carcillo has an inspector gadget neck. |

they need to get back in. its literally the only (frank)ing way the pens will ever get to go on PP. im more than painfully aware that if you wear blue you are allowed to interfere as much as you pleae, but evidently crosschecks to the back of the head and neck are swell too. |

yep. have to learn it anyway. and it's actually enjoyable to me - the logistical analysis tied together with real property, etc.
on the first one, hope you just wrote: "good riddance" and then walked oot. |

I've been keying in on Olli Maata (as I'm sure you're aware), and he's been, well, pretty bad for the last few games (heck, he's a 19-year-old rookie). I'm not saying he should be sat, but it should be an option going forward.
However, I've yet to break him his QOC, TOI 5v5, his shot differential, his positional faceoff starts, and his possession numbers, so I can't really give an indication of his play with any kind of meaningful analysis. Once I can assign him a calculated number, I'll tell you if he's any good. |

Don't forget too many men. There's been a clear-cut one let go against NYR in each games of this round that's been missed.
I agree though, the Rags are getting away with murder in this series. I just hope that the stupid penalty Goc took last night doesn't start showing up more, for your guys' sake. |

i think both arguments and stances have merit, but they do themselves a disservice by at least on the surface appearing to neglect the other side of the coin.
i know enough about the nature of numbers to know that over a large period, they can indicate a trend. and trends in the direction you want them are certainly indicative of a likelihood of success. they can be extremely useful and tell us many things. However, I also know enough about the nature of numbers to know that they typically need a contextual foundation to contain much worth. and sometimes, this contextual foundation can only be found from watching the game. the calculators and the eye balls are intrinsically linked. for me anyway |

Hampus Lindholm....I'll assign him a number...let's just call him a 6. No scale, no context. But he's a 6. |

2 + 2 = 4. Eyeball your way out that, professor!
But no, you're right. I find statistics to be a reflection of a game, not an indicator. For instance, if we used stats to predict future trends, Giroux would be in maybe the top 70 in scoring after 15 games. No one took into context that the team was awful, he was injured, his linemates were playing poorly, etc. The eyeball test would have said otherwise, as he was generating chances, they just weren't going in. |

more or less, in 4300 words. and yeah, i actually really enjoy it. you get just enough policy stuff sprinkled in without it being preachy, and a lot of it really just relies on common sense.
i cant say the final was fun, but i enjoyed property a lot as a whole.
im still unsure how i feel about adverse possession though. on one hand its cool, but on the other hand its really jerked off. |
