Maroon basically got himself kicked off the Phantoms due to 'attitude' issues, though. I'm glad he's found a place he can play, but it might have been nice to see a little of what he's doing now here with the Flyers.

I didn't realize it was for attitude issues, it must have been an ongoing problem.

I'm very happy this morning. While the series far from over it's great to see the Habs ahead. Jeez, they could have been up 3-0. Price has been outstanding. Subban is dynamic. They're fast and they just keep getting up after they get hit by the likes of Thornton, Chara and Lou Cheech. Loved the way Moen plastered Iginla. Can't wait for game 4. Right now I'm hating the Bruins more than the Rangers.

It might have been a vacant (figurehead) position.

This is probably as much about keeping Hextall off of the GM interview carousel as it is about anything. I know that, at the very least, the Vancouver job is still open. I don't know about any others.

That really depends on the hierarchy and who has the true power. I think it's an assumption to think that Hextall has the same viewpoint and ideas that Holmgren has. Who is truly going to be making the moves, and who has final say? If titles is the only thing that has truly changed, then it's status quo.

I think I'd like to see Hextall actually do something as GM before making a judgement like this.
