I got what you were saying. It appears that it is to me also. But have to be careful with small sample sizes with a player. Many players have come up late in the year, and played well in small samples of games. Only to fizzle out. All I can say is that he deserves a chance to win a job in camp.

I'd do Vinny for Booth, or maybe Stalberg. Booth had a horrible year, but Vancouver might be in a "retooling" mode. And if Lavi wants Lecavalier, maybe we could get Stalberg. They're not top liners, but are players who can play on the top line.

I think he might waive for basically anywhere is Berube makes it clear that there's a strong chance he'll stay on the 4th line. But yes, it's not a premier destination.

this is my pov. we have no idea what he'll do over the course of a full season, given legitimate chance to grow, being put in the right situations with the right linemates.

and the coaches/management won't be either. he's shown he can be a leading scorer in the ahl, but needs work in other areas. the only way to find out is to give him a chance. what he does with that chance, is up to him.
