He had a rough strike shortened season, but was humming along before that.
I always found it strange they bought him out when they needed centers. They could have kept him for one more year to see what happened. - PhillySportsGuy
Fancy stats people were falling over themselves when that decision happened... Grabovski is a really strong possession player and a really nice two-way center. |

Grabovski passes the eye test, too -- he's one of those tough Europeans, man. He'll go into tough places and take hits to make plays |

Hey, I have no problems with that; both of those guys are excellent coaches. Babcock's the best in the business.
But my goodness. Yeah, you're in a tight spot, waiting for one of those guys to shake free. Just as a fan of the sport, I hope they don't ruin those kids by giving them another season with a guy who just pulled the chute on them because they aren't 32 years old - AllInForFlyers
I hope they do something dumb, like trade the Flyers Gardiner for Grossmann and a 2nd |

Would you trade Schenns for Kadri and Gardiner? |

Would you trade Schenns for Kadri and Gardiner? - PhillySportsGuy
You know, that's interesting.
It'd totally depend on who Kadri's other winger would be, if you're playing him with Simmonds. Because that guy would maybe have to be a Selke finalist...but something like that would be an interesting move.
I like Baby Schenn better than Kadri, but I like Gardiner better than Luke.

Actually it was Burke, so he wasn't American enough. |

That I might do...I'd have to delve into the numbers more, but that's an interesting thought |

Same. I'm not a fan of Kadri. My dislike for him would probably hold me back from making the deal. |

So the B's now have the Habs on the brink. Is Mesz anywhere near the requirement to get us the 2nd rounder? |

I probably like Phaneuf then most, I just think giving him the captaincy in that market is lunacy. They almost need to trade for a captain like the Flyers did with Jason Smith. I believe Phaneuf can excel when he is not the main focus of the team.

Don't think so. I think he's been scratched now for like 4 games in a row |

I like Phaneuf more than most, too. I'd take him on the Flyers, even with his deal. Agree he's not the guy you put the C on, though. |

I'm fine with the 3rd, though -- that's really what he was probably worth. We'd totally have been playing with house money if they had gotten more than that
